"We've been looking for a rustic place like this for years, and have now found what we are looking for. West branch pond at the doorstep: moose, loons, bull frogs, and good food. A few miles away from the AT going over White Cap mountain, and 15 miles from cell phone service: you are unplugged... Inside plumbing during the warm months, and an extensive cross country and snowshoe trail system. Really dark skies, and meteors, with a good view of the sky for observing. We now return every year..."
"Spectacular place to truly get away from it all! Off grid. No cell service. Beautiful, tranquil and serene. The food is excellent. Cabins are rustic and comfortable and have hot water in summer."
"A truly unique vacation experience. Rustic cabins, absolutely beautiful setting, and great food. There's no better place to relax and be forced to be 'offline' for a few days with no internet or cell phone service."
"This may be my favorite place in the world. I come here year after year with my family, and it's always an outstanding experience. Cozy cabins right near the pond, all with great views. It's always wonderful to see moose across the pond from the porch. There are kayaks, canoes, and rowboats available for people to use and explore the pond and its wildlife. Please don't get too close to the animals though because we don't like to see people scaring them off. Meals are included in the price of lodging, and there are 3 per day. Breakfast at 7:30, lunch at noon, and dinner at 6:00. I recommend you do your best to be there for all the meals as none of them disappoint. There is a bell that will ring just before each of them that you can hear from anywhere on the pond. Family-owned and operated for decades. All of the staff and guests are such wonderful people. I will continue to come back each year."
"An amazing back to nature experience for the whole family. Eric makes guests feel right at home, and you always leave feeling rejuvenated. The food has also improved tremendously over the past decade, and there's now fresh salads from the garden and expanded support for dietary preferences."
