"A nice spot to start a land or river adventure in Augusta. Boaters benefit from a wide concrete landing into the Kennebwc River. There is ample parking as well as bathrooms and a dock during Sunmer months. The park offers a fun playground with picnic area for families. This park makes a great starting point for a walk through the park, through the Museum on the Streets heritage spots, past Olde Fort Western towards Augusta's historic downtown on Water Street."
"We just checked this Playground out for the first time, one of the slides is currently broken but its pretty cool. Our 2yr is a good climber so she likes it but there isnt a lot for littles. Proximity to the river & trail is cool. Love all the tree shade. If anything maybe lacking picnic tables."
"This spot is beautiful! Right along the river. A great playground with equipment for all ages. Picnic table and some benches, as well. There is also a little bridge and trail through the woods off to the side, but we did not walk it this time. There was also a porta potty in the parking area that wasn't too bad."
"Great place to launch your boat. Easy backing up with extra wide boat ramp in large parking lot. Very scenic area being right underneath the bridge and a small little playground for the kids. Playground is secluded in a great spot to go with the family. Hard to find your way in unless you've been there before but worth the exploration of finding it. Highly recommended if you plan on talking your boat anywhere in the vicinity."
"We love the trails along the Kennebec I run my dog up there a lot I grew up in Augusta and my whole life and I still fine cool things along the river it can be very tranquil and relaxing and we all know that the river can also show its sphere side so it's amazing at all ends this tree that is posted in the pics is 27 ft around it's an oak tree hits up on an High Ground in the woods and it's the largest hardwood I've seen in Augusta area. My dog Cody loves to run around in the Swale grass along the river."
