"Trucking through Maine, we stopped in here. It was cozy and antiquated. Klserver was great. I got the haddock and my dad got steak. He said well done, but it came out medium well. He said it was good either way. The haddock was thicccc. The bounciest fish I've ever eaten. Really thick 12 inch filet. Cracker breaded. The potatoes were ok. A little dry but still good. And the murder of crows outside was wild. Never seen so many crows. 500+"

"It's been quite a while since Ive been in a 99 Restaurant. Years in fact. I remember feeling let down when I visited the one in Auburn Maine, so when my friend chose this 99 in Augusta, I figured why not. We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't really busy, but there were people there. We got seated right away and met our server, Tiffany, shortly after. She was attentive and friendly. Refreshing actually. I ordered the 12oz. Sirloin and my friend the fried shrimp with coleslaw. Food came out quite quickly and I have to say, everything was perfect. My medium steak was done perfectly and the fries were plentiful and hot. Atmosphere looked a little outdated, but still gave 4 stars for atmosphere. I would eat at this location again without hesitation."

"So 99 will never get 5 stars for the food, no chain really can, but I will say there were absolutely no *problems* with what we ordered, and the balsamic glazed chicken was moist and delicious! Service was absolutely top notch. Fast, responsive, attentive, and friendly. All around a great experience for a chain restaurant and the local staff and management should be proud of the execution."

"Stopped in for take-out. Was greeted immediately and given a menu. Ordered the fish and chips and substituted the fries and coleslaw for double rice. I normally love the rice but today it tasted like someone spilled a ton of salt on top. The fish was very good. I also ordered the sampler which consisted of potato skins and boneless wings. I choose the goldfever sauce instead of Buffalo sauce. Potato skins were nice and crispy with cheese and bacon on top. Boneless wings were also very good. Overall a decent meal for around $33."
