"I have a refrigerator that's approximately 10 years old. It stopped defrosting and would freeze up in a couple of days. I had Sears come out to repair it and was told that the coolant had leaked and was not repairable. They charged me over $150 just to look at it. I knew they were wrong because it still got cold and it just wasn't defrosting. The service tech from appliance world came out and repaired it in a timely manner and was very professional. I contacted Sears and they reimbursed me the service charge thankfully."
"We were in a pinch for the holidays since our stove broke, we needed another one quick. Tony was quick to respond and set up a time for us to come see what he had in stock. He helped us load it and off we went, just that quickly ."
"I called Appliance World to repair our 15-month old GE dishwasher that was not cleaning dishes. This is a second home so we are not here all the time but Tony was awesome and managed to squeeze us in early in the morning before our flight left to go home. He asked me to text him a photo of the serial and model number so he could arrive prepared with the necessary parts for the most common repairs for our symptoms. He texted us when he was on the way and he went to work diagnosing the issue (a stuck dispenser tray) that was keeping the dishes from cleaning. He also recommended that we stop using the all-in-one pods for our dishwasher and he explained that the water was probably not heating enough to completely dissolve the pods. He waited through a cycle to make sure everything was working correctly. Very happy. I love finding a small local company that is competent and professional and willing to go the extra step to accommodate a new customer. Will definitely use and recommend."
"I’ve never used this company before. I called them several days ago to set up an appointment for a customer of mine. Guess what No call no show. The lady is elderly and haven't had a stove in over a week now. I even called the day before to confirm the appointment and the lady in the office gave me a window of 2-5 and a quote which I agreed to. And to not even call to give us an explanation?"
"I want to share a positive experience my family had this week with Tony, owner of Appliance World, operating over in the Pine Street Extension Building. I know most of you can relate, when your washing machine starts to slip a bit and leaves your clothes too soaked to dry. I called my regular 'guy' and final word, 'not worth repairing, and $75 for the service call to find that out. There are many washers on craigslist and the facebook marketplace, and also a fear you'll be buying someone else's problems, but I got very lucky when I reached Tony. First, he and his associate took away the 2 failed washing machines from the cellar for no charge. He didn't ask for any money, but did say that he doesn't do that regularly. I saw that as a sign of good will, and visited his shop. There were several washers to pick from, all with 30-day warranties, and a few within my price range $175-250, including delivery, and they weren't antiques either! Within a few hours, he arrived on time, and had installed the washer in the cellar. Success! Washer is running, but here is the exceptional part: I noticed that night that the clothes weren't totally wrung out in the final spin. I got worried, because I'd forgotten to get a receipt, and worried if Tony would back up his verbal 30-day warranty. I was wrong to worry. With no 'funny business', he called right back, and set a time for today at 11:30. He arrived exactly when he said, and basically took the whole machine apart, pulling the motor, clutch, everything, to replaced some part, I didn't even know was in there. He worked on it for over an hour without even a grumble. I'd say he's a man who stands by his warranty, and deserves everyone's future business. My point is that any used appliance may have a part that could wear out any time down-the-road. There is no way, anyone can know this in advance. Your only hope is for a warranty backed by someone with honesty, integrity and knowledge. Please trust my words of experience the next time you need to buy an appliance, or need an honest repair. It'll save you a lot of stress. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. --Rita Wilde born in Nashua, lives in Nashua"
