"Good prices, extremely well stocked, Less expensive than Costco on some items, great produce, extensive beer and wine selection at great prices. Stick with the Costco bakery items though, particularly the baguettes."
"I'm always impressed with the service at this Market Basket. There is a gentleman in the meat department, named Jose'/Hosea (sp), who has gone above and beyond what I call good customer service. I need specific meats for my diet. Anytime I've called, he has been kind to put things aside for me to pick up, or let me know when a shipment will be coming, and on other occasions he offered to slice up many packages for me so I wouldn't run out. You just don't see this level of customer service anymore. The service at this store is wonderful. I won't go to the newer one down the street, for I appreciate good service. It's tough to find this today, and I hope this gentleman is recognized for the above and beyond service he offers. This store should be recognized as well, for the service is always great. Again, you just don't see this in today's world very often. It's quite refreshing when you do, and it should be recognized."
"My wife works in the meat department here and I would love to know why her bosses (José Gill and Walter O'Brien) think it's okay to, without notice, cut her hours down from five days to two days a week. I am in a wheelchair and cannot work. We rely on her income to put food on the table and keep us off the streets. Both of these men know this. I have also previously worked for Market Basket before I was unable to and have shopped here my entire life. I am disgusted by the lack of basic human decency shown by this company and am seriously debating never coming back."
"Always walk away from here pretty impressed with the take-home dinner/bakery section and general pricing on everything else. Is the meat/seafood/cheese sections as good as WholeF? No, but nor will you need to mortgage your home for some good cuts. I think they’ll also steam live lobsters for free which is a nice time saver for more special occasions"
