"Went to pick up Xmas gift they had on hold as our local Sam's was out of item desired. It was not a fun trip, with flooding, heavy traffic and driving unfamiliar roads in the dark, it was a very stressful trip. We didn't explore the store, just purchased item on hold. Staff was odd kept asking if I was using a card when I had my card in hand, had to request a bag for my purchase."

"Overpriced compared to online or even Eastern Mountain Sports down the road. Decided to shop there to get advice on best day hiking shoes for my feet. First helped by an older gentleman who immediately dumped me when a man just looking for regular shoes came in. He handed off to a guy who looked to be about 14 years old, and have noncommittal ambiguous answers to all my questions. Going to attempt to return or exchange what I bought because upon further advice on the fit, I found their advice was totally wrong and these hiking shoes will end up blistering my heels. Maybe they should hire people who actually have done some hiking to sell hiking equipment."

"Visited for the 1st time a week before Christmas to checkout winter boots. Lovely selection, but they didn't have my size. A gentleman called one of their sister stores and had my size in 2 colours delivered within 2 days. That's great service. Also got my husband some shirts. This store is a treasure, absolutely packed to the gills with everything outdoors for campers, hunters, hikers etc."

"I'm truly amazed by the quality of service I received today! I'm new to the area and needed hiking boots, but I wasn't sure of what to look for. The salesperson asked some questions to help find the boots based on my needs. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Then I decided to get socks, and another salesperson helped me find the perfect pair. Finally I decided to get some hiking pants as well. A third salesperson helped me choose the right pants. The cashiers were very friendly too. I'll definitely come back for more gear when needed. Check them out because you won't be disappointed!"

"I love shopping here. The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The store has a wide variety of gear for tons of outdoor activities; over the years I have bought gear for camping, swimming, hiking, travel, and even a car roof rack. :) Recently I needed a receipt for something I bought TWO YEARS ago for warranty replacement, and the Sam's manager actually dug through their credit card system and found it for me! Their service is above and beyond!"
