"We had a beautiful stay at Pleasant Forest Shores in August 2023. The cottage was cozy and charming, with a spacious living room and kitchen. It was very clean and better equipped than we had imagined, with everything with needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for us... quiet neighborhood, and only a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, and a short drive to the rest of Chatham. While this is was our first year at PFS, its easy to see why so many families have made it a yearly tradition, and we hope to do the same. Thanks again John!"

"Owner very conscientious about you and your stay. His parents built units in 50s. A great look at the past. Note there is no air conditioning, tv, but you won't have that camping either. Love it here"

"We just had a wonderful week at cottage 3. John is a great host- very helpful. The cottage was Clean and the location is also great. We’ve been vacationing here at Pleasant Forest Shores for almost 20 years and always have a good time rain or shine. The cottage is nestled back away from the street down a soft path/road in some pines so it’s nice and quiet. It’s also just a short walk to 2 beaches and a bit longer walk or short bike ride to another beautiful beach and also the bike trail. We had fun playing board games and/or reading at night. There was a big standup rotating fan in the cottage and we also brought a window fan jic. Just a relaxing place to stay with lots of room and a bit of a nostalgic feel too."

"My wife and I had a wonderful week at Pleasant Forest Shores. John, the owner, made us feel right at home and was available for any questions we had or for anything we might need. We especially enjoyed talking to him about the history of the cabins and how his mother and father, (who were originally from Sweden) literally built the cabins with their own hands. The craftsmanship and details of the cabin we stayed in would be appreciated by everyone, but especially anyone who is a woodworker or builder. Our cabin was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for our time there. The kitchen was well stocked as far as utensils, cookware, dinner ware, etc. and the shower was great with plenty of hot water. What we particularly liked about John's place is that it has a relaxing, laid-back feeling. We found it to be quiet, peaceful and we felt very safe there. It's located in a nice, low key neighborhood just a 5 minute walk to the closest beach. We appreciate what John does to preserve a unique Cape Cod experience that is very nostalgic and creates warm and lasting memories for those who stay at Pleasant Forest Shores."
