"Booked an overnight stay as a last minute get-away. The staff (Rebeka and Lyn) were absolutely lovely- very kind and welcoming and met our every need. From making dinner reservations for us (the inn’s restaurant is closed on Sundays) to making us chamomile tea when we returned in the evening, to lovely conversation- it was a very relaxing time and would definitely return again! - Anthony & Molly"

"We had a short get-away and booked here, thinking it was a spot we stayed at previously. It wasn't but it turned out to be great surprise. The service was personalized and top notch. The breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding. The room was comfortable and modern. Easy walking distance to the center of Chatham. We highly recommend!"

"The staff at the Chatham Inn provides excellent service and the breakfast which was included was superb. The rooms are nice, but they’re not Ritz Carlton quality. The linens are not top notch and the a/c blew in my husband’s face all night. The walls are thin & you can hear almost everything. With that said, we did get a good night’s rest, since everyone was quiet after 11pm. The hotel is charming and it’s right in town.we enjoyed the hotel & thus the rating of 4 stars plus."

"This is the first time I am leaving a hotel a negative review but I feel that others should know about their exceptionally bad refund policy. I requested a refund due to the hurricane (the national weather service issued a tropical storm warning and has stated that there is a threat to life and property in cape cod). The hotel said I could not receive a refund and would only be eligible for a future credit if my flight were to be canceled. I was not planning to fly to cape cod I was driving so that does not apply. They also said if the room was rebooked I could be issued a refund. When I checked online the room I booked had been booked my someone else. Now they are saying that it is a current guest who booked it so again no refund and I have to wait and see if their original room gets booked. Horrible communication, no customer service. I would choose another hotel in the area for the amount of money this hotel charges and the lack of transparency and customer service they provide."

"There are many positives about our experience staying at this property for 4 days, but also a few negatives. Ultimately, if this property is within your budget, certainly consider it. Cape Cod is, in this writer's opinion, a great summer vacation spot for all ages, but suffers from a shortage of anything that might be called a 'luxury' property. And those that do exist, while they charge luxury summer prices, do not necessarily provide a true luxury experience. So taking on the renovation of an older property into a luxury destination is itself something to commend it. Other positives: location, within easy walking distance from the center of Chatham; numerous amenities, such as abundant towels, luxury bathroom cosmetics and other appointments, upscale bedding, large flat- screen TV's, in-room gas fireplaces, expensive, extremely quiet individual high-end room air-conditioners, abundant chocolates, constant availability of coffee and water for patrons, umbrellas, robes, etc., and not to forget a complementary, complete hot breakfast served in the same room as a glorious, but expensive, evening restaurant (not reviewed here) on the premises, all the makings of a genuine luxury experience. But the icing on the cake is the attitude of the staff, always ready to help, where the operating mantra is 'sure, we can' rather than 'sorry, we can't.' Of particular note is the "Maitre de Maison' named Lyn, an obviously-English lady. who could not be more helpful or thoughtful, and who seems to work 24/7 at being both, when she is on the property. Without her, the luxury experience would be lacking, how much is hard to say. What about negatives: no elevator, despite some rooms located at the top of a steep stairway (others are on the main floor), the location of room bathrooms in some rooms that are uncomfortably close to, and open directly onto, sleeping areas; no swimming pool; and in our case, a fantastic shower mechanism that could not be adjusted to provide less than scalding water, and was thus hard to use. Yes, some annoyances, a few resulting purely from the limitations of the original structure, and others, capable of remediation, if management pays attention to them."
