"I spent a half an hour calling them, getting sent to an automated message after 4 or 5 rings, and pressing 0 to try again. They will never pick up the phone. I even tried the number they call from one time. This happens every time I've tried to contact them, without fail I just wanted to confirm what time my appointment was. would of taken 2 min. I'm just going to assume that everyone's fingers are broken and they cant push the answer button. If that's the case they clearly cant take care of or examine my pet."
"If I could give 0 stars this would be it. I could write a book on how horrible banfield is. I had a wellness plan for each if my 2 dogs that they wouldn't let me officially cancel when they couldn't see one of my dogs for an emergency for over a week. What is the point of the wellness plan with free visits if I can't get my dog in for an emergency at any local location for an entire week? They made me so mad that I just canceled my whole damn credit card so they can't charge me anymore and brought my dogs to west Greenwich animal hospital where they are amazing & made sure to make me and my dog feel like a priority. The vet at Banfield also said that a fatty tumor my dog has was an "enlarged liver," which was clearly wrong & the new vet confirmed. It is honestly scary how incompetent they are there. I would never bring my dog to a Banfield ever again."
"We JUST renewed our Wellness Program for two dogs... Called on Sunday at 6am and left a message requesting an appointment for our sick dog. Called back at 11, no answer. Was able to get into another office that's an hour away on Tuesday, thankfully- because 3 days later I still have not received a call back. The other office was helpful, and even followed up the next day to make sure our little guy was doing better. Wishing we didn't just renew our plans..."
"I had to put my sweet boy down yesterday and they were compassionate through the whole process. Very kind and supportive. They showed true care for my baby and to me, as I said good bye. Please be kind to everyone there. They have a hard job and still care."
"If you're looking for the fast food version of the vet - you've found it. The front desk area is always a mess. They so clearly over commit themselves each day and don't have time to care for animals on an individual level. They ask me to muzzle my dog during each visit as opposed to building any sort of connection. Today, as I was actively trying to get a muzzle on my dog (per their request) - they're telling me his anxiety is "not that bad" as he's actively trying to bite me. During our discussion, I was nearly speechless as I was instructed to look into positive reinforcement training, trying 'happy visits' to the vet in order to change his attitude, and also to give my dog high value treats when he gets in the car (currently I have to lift him into the car while he has full body tremors.) What do they assume I have been doing for three years? Since I work on training and de-sensitivity with my dog daily, I have no patience for a vet's office that assumes I'm the problem, instead of inquiring with me about the steps I’ve taken thus far to set him up for success. One of my biggest regrets in the past three years is not standing up for myself or my dog sooner. In the interest of your animals, I recommend you seek veterinary care elsewhere if possible."
