"THIS IS THEEEE worse hotel I've EVER been to in my entire life!!!! The manager Joseph was VERY unprofessional and he did not accomdate any of our needs. First of all I did not receive my military discount, because I did not book the room with it. When we checked in, the TV did not work they acted like they did not want to give us a new room. They did, so we got a new room and then we have no microwave, asked for towels only was provided little hand towels, due to no big towels being available. They also had no extra bedding and the pull out sofa was A JOKE my children couldn't even sleep on it. Sandra at the front desk was rude as well and Joseph had a picture of towels saying we did something bad by using the towels. We went swimming and then took a shower that's what TOWELS ARE FOR !!!! I will forever tell anyone who will listen never to stay at this location. The police had to be called and I will be writing letters to corporate demanding a full refund for this horrible experience. They do not deserve a DIME OF BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. Ps. Ms.Jackie front desk and the pool and hottub was the ONLY good thing about this nasty place !!!!!"
"We have family in Cranston and have used this hotel for 15 years. It’s convenient for us to stay at the airport, but we will definitely be looking at one of the other nearby hotels on our next visit. There was zero sink space in the bathroom to set all your stuff. There was not a single mirror in our room that you could get your face close enough to in order to put your make up on. Also, no full-size mirror. I kinda like to see how I look before I leave the room. The shower had rust dripping down the tile from the screws in the shower bar. There are no room darkening drapes that can be pulled so we slept in an illuminated room for three nights from the lights outside coming in. The included breakfast was not near as good as it used to be. They also used to have a shuttle to the airport and they don’t offer that anymore. The lady pointed me to the walkway across the street that goes from the hotel to the airport which as a woman I was not interested in doing at 6 AM when it was 30°. Iron Works bar/restaurant that is attached to this hotel is really great but the hotel doesn’t own it."
"I cannot believe this is actually a Hampton. I have never been to a more dirty and disgusting Hampton in my life. The hallways look like they had not been vacuumed in a very long time or at least during this holiday season. We checked out two rooms both of them had not been vacuumed. The toilet had hair on it. The sheets had hair on it the table because it was a suite had something googy and food on it. I can understand old and rundown. I cannot tolerate or no should anyone else a dirty room that is full of bacteria and other people who has been there, left there dirtiness in it. I expect when I leave a room that they clean it after me. The front desk girl was extremely helpful. She tried to find us a room, but to no avail. we had to pack all our bags back on the cart go back down put them in the car and she gladly refunded our payment and the extra $50 that they take for not sure what that’s for. They don’t have a bar or a restaurant, but it won’t show up in my bank for another two days , so not happy with Hampton. We did go over to the Hilton Inn Garden that was extremely clean. Also updated but clean was the most important and it should be for everyone. Sorry that the Hampton has poor cleaning maids or I’m not sure what the issue is there but I tell you clear steer of the Hampton at the Providence airport . It will just frustrate you and then you have to go to try to find another hotel. We were able to find another room like I said, but other hotels were full because it is a holiday season."
"We’ve been staying at this location for over 10 years for the Thanksgiving holidays and have watched the sad decline of a once nice hotel. When “renovations” happened years back, we noticed how cheap things looked, but ignored the step down in quality because of the convenience of location and the pet friendly rooms. However, things took a major turn for the worse since the pandemic. After my brothers and I were unexpectedly kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night in 2021 because a manager said dogs were not allowed, despite being welcomed for years, I was quite upset. My dog was elderly and the situation was very stressful for everyone. I actually stayed at a different hotel the following year because I was still angry about what happened. This year my mother decided to book us all rooms at the Hampton Inn again because she’s a Hilton Honors member and, since it was her first year back since COVID, the hotel was familiar. She regrets her decision immensely. First of all, despite giving all our names when she made the reservation (we all have the same last name), they wouldn’t let my brother check in to his room without her present. This involved a long and frustrating call with the front desk to get resolved. Second, without a dog to make the visit more palatable, you notice how dingy the rooms are and the number of broken items. The outlets don’t work, the phone has an endless busy signal, and the television needed to be fixed twice. The water in all of our rooms took at least 5 minutes to warm up and the amenities look they’ve been raided from a dollar bin. My mom said she can feel the springs in the bed and our bathroom door has been slammed so many times there is a pile of sawdust on the ground. The wallpaper is peeling in multiple locations, the tables are chipped, and holes are painted over in a slapdash manner. Last is the overall decline in service. Only one person at the front desk has been pleasant to talk with (I believe her name was Sonja) and the rest have been rude or condescending. Breakfast used to go until 10am and now the door closes with a resounding bang at 9am sharp. I wouldn’t have wanted to peek my head in at 8:59am for fear of getting my head chopped off. I absolutely refuse to stay at this hotel again. In comparison to the other hotels near the airport, it’s telling that this hotel has some of the lowest reviews."
"I am a lifelong Hilton Honors member and I gotta say this is probably the worst Hilton property I've ever stayed at. It is close to PVD so it was conveniently located, but not exactly in a nice neighborhood. I arrived around midnight and the front doors were locked. Luckily there were guests in the lobby who eventually activated the sensors from the inside before I was able to get inside. The clerk finally showed up at the front desk. I tried using early check-in online but that didn't work so I had to check-in in person again. At first I was told I didn't have a reservation but I assured her I did. She finally found my reservation and told me I had the last room available that night. Once to my room, I found the room poorly lit with no central light switch. The TV was not hooked up so I did not receive any channels. There was NO CLOSET or DRAWERS for any clothing storage. The mirror light in the bathroom was not working. . There was no toilet paper roll holder and the tiles and bathtub were in bad shape. The water from the bathroom sink did not work properly. The carpet tiling was becoming displaced, and the cabinet door was broken. The bedsheets were questionable but I was already too tired and it was too late to do anything about it. I just had to survive the night. I anxiously checked out in the morning and got into a much nicer place in downtown Providence the next night. I had read prior reviews warning of the poor conditions in the hotel, but thought they were isolated rooms. But if my room was any example, the poor reports were not exaggerated. Stay away!! This hotel is poorly maintained and really shouldn't even be associated with the Hilton brand name."
