Blueground | Furnished Apartments Boston 501 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116

"The quality of the apartments is not very good. Most of Bluegrounds' apartments are in buildings that feel like college dorms. Some of the furnishings and kitchen items are very old and unsightly. Customer service is very poor. If you have a problem with your apartment and need help (for example, if the wifi goes down), you'll have to call or message their customer service multiple times over multiple days before it's resolved. They accused me of taking 6 wine glasses from the apartment and are trying to charge me for it. I don't drink alcohol so I didn't touch any glasses not took anything out of the apartment."

"Major security issues. UNSAFE. Several keys and fobs units left unsecured in Bluegrounds’ unlocked and sometimes open lock boxes directly outside the building. Keys were all labeled with BG’s unit numbers. Website provided corresponding floor and building numbers. It would have been so easy for someone to access the units without authorization. Observed on three occasions over 4 days, one instance at night. Brought to attention to building staff, issue persisted. I believe the units were occupied at the time. This occurred at the West End properties. Also building security cameras are not operational. See others’ corresponding reviews about squatters and security issues."

"Horrendous experience. We rented an apartment at Market Central in Cambridge, which was disgustingly dirty upon arrival. When we requested cleaning service, less than 10% was cleaned, and they left the flat open with all our belongings inside. Moreover, the building has had many cases of burglary. Upon leaving, Blueground literally staged the flat with trash everywhere to impose extra charges. I strongly advise against booking through Blueground. They are dishonest, and your belongings and safety are at risk, which is the last thing you want from a short-term rental platform."

"I do not recommend Blueground. They say that you will get your deposit back, but then they end up charging a bunch of extra fees. I was charged an extra $110 for damages that were already there when I arrived and $50 for cleaning the towels (when I had already paid almost 400$ at the beginning of the stay for exactly that). This is very disappointing. Will not be booking with them in the future."

"The staff is great and easy to get in touch. There is an app for easy access for moving in. The apartment comes with a lot of amenities that I don't need to leave my building for anything. Only expectation is parking. There is no assigned parking."
