"Beautiful hotel! Great location. The meal I had in the restaurant was well prepared although there was somewhat of a delay in between bringing the second dish out. Great waitress and host service - attentive and professional. The room was spacious and clean. Lovely shower. Upon check in I received a text asking me if everything was okay and to let them know if I need anything during my stay. Recommended and would definitely stay here again!"
"We chose The Dagny for this first trip together in Boston, and are so glad we did. It was beautiful-- from start to finish. The staff are so friendly, professional and helpful, & the doorman who greeted our taxi was funny, upbeat and helpful- and we loved his jaunty hat/blazer/vibe. All the areas from the lobby/reception, the Tradesman breakfast/lunch cafe, to the Fin Point Oyster Bar/restaurant and the library were so beautifully furnished, inviting, and relaxing to spend time in. In particular, the Tradesman cafe served impressive giant filled croissants & coffees/teas in a setting with great decor/music & was certainly a gathering place for folks travelling as well as those working in the area. We were given immediate assist for a small thing we needed help with, both that day and via great follow up the next day. The hotel offered truly amazing value, and frankly made our trip as you can walk to anywhere- awesome pubs & restaurants & stores a few steps to a few streets away-- and each time we came back, the hotel welcomed us warmly again, and to such a lovely pretty spot. We found out later a family member had stayed there a short while ago & had all the same positive experiences/feedback. Thanks to the staff! You all rock!"
"The Dagny is the only place that we will consider staying when in Boston. The rooms are elegant, as is the entrance and foyer. I cannot say enough great things about the staf, especially Katie who took such good care of us at check-in. They treat you better than family. They're helpful, kind and considerate. The location can't be better. Very walkable area, and feels safe throughout the day and night. Surprisingly quiet at night, due to the fact that it's in the financial district. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Recommend that you do the same!"
"Great facility, but although it's new they don't seem to be paying attention to details. I was with several colleagues for a holiday celebration. Some had no heat, some could not regulate the heat and had to keep the windows always open. My room took about seven hours to get the temperature to 71° from 68°. We had a large ice bucket in our room, but only espresso cups, so i could have my friends over and everyone could have a 2 oz. cup with one ice cube in it. I thought it was a housekeeping oversight, but when i called to get a few regular drinking glasses i was told the hotel does not have those, only the espresso size. The shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty, fortunately there was a small bar of soap. When we arrived our door had two very obvious smudges on the outside, like someone had rubbed a very dirty towel against it. They were still there three days later when we checked out. We had room service the first night and placed the tray outside the door. It was picked up 23 hours later. Before i arrived i called several times with a question about my reservation. Each time the automated system directed me to the Hilton International reservation system in what sounded like Thailand to me. This facility used to be a Hilton. It's been many months since the switchover but no one has noticed the calls being misdirected? These are all pretty small things which go along with what i said initially - the details are not being watched over. Unfortunately it is the details that make or break a great hotel."
