"Update: reduce from 5 to 2 and now to 1 star. Mail room lock has not been working properly for weeks. Maintenance said "they're working on it" but nothing has happened since. Residents packed at the mail room trying to open the door to get their package but they simply can't because the door refuses to open. Come on. This is the most basic service an apartments can provide. And hey, look at the colorful dog trash bin. They do not get cleaned till it explodes. Maintenance definitely hate their job. He works in a way that you can feel the f word would come out of his mouth every minute. Used to be good. Not any more. Management and maintenance deteriorated so badly since 2023. Kids scream in the yard every day. Nightmare for work-from-home folks. Management is basically non-existent (no phone pick up, does not respond to email). I wonder what happened to the previous team. Bring them back. PS: I found the standardized response below hilarious. It tells me to contact the management team, but the reason I'm writing a review here is because the management does not respond my emails/phone at all."
"Management rarely provides enough notice when repairs, maintenance, or construction are going to affect your unit. For example, several months ago I woke up with no water only to find that repairs were being made to a hot water heater that was supposed to have been fixed the day before. I wasn’t going to have any water until late that afternoon and was unable to shower, brush, my teeth, or use the water for any reason. Recently, they “fixed” the lock to the outside entry, and now my key doesn’t work. When I got home tonight and couldn’t get in, I called the after hours service. The maintenance person who answered was far away and said it would be “a while “before he could get there. I didn’t lose my key. They updated the outside lock and didn’t provide a new key. When I complained about having to wait, the maintenance person told me “he didn’t need the attitude.“I ended up being able to walk all the way around the back to get in carrying a ton of bags and packages. At least that option was available or else I would’ve had to stand outside and freeze or load all my packages back into the car and idle until someone got there. The front office is closed until Tuesday, so I won’t be able to get a key to use the front door until at least then. Our hot water heater and heating unit broke on the same day recently and we had to get a hotel room. The after hours answering service would not give us any information about the status of the repair, Even to keep us from staying an extra night in a hotel that the complex had no intention of paying. When we moved here, the management was great. But there’s a new group in charge and it’s gone downhill since they took over. Can’t wait until my lease is up. Would not recommend his complex."
"When I moved into Heritage at Stone Ridge, every inch of my apartment was clean and freshly painted, and all the appliances were new or in working order. The maintenance staff is responsive and gets things done, and the office staff has been very helpful. The residents have warmly welcomed me. I highly recommend this community!"
"At first the heritage at stone ridge was a nice place to live in a convenient location. However that all changed in July of 2022. When we reported the first sighting of a cockroach In the master bathroom. It was the first time I’d ever seen a cockroach. They had orkin come out to spray. And we expected that would be the end of it. Couple of weeks later we found more this time in the kitchen and the other bathroom. This process repeated for 7 months. We were told multiple times that we were not the source of the problem. At one point we found them crawling out of the electrical outlets as well as we found a nest under the fridge (which had apparently never been cleaned) In February, we had had enough. We went down to the leasing office, spoke with the new manager, and he stated that we would be permitted to end the lease early without penalty. Hearing that, we were thinking finally some good news at the end of the tunnel. This was reaffirmed to us in writing via email. Moving out we went through everything with a fine tooth comb. We found them crawling out of the internet modem located in an entirely different area than we found before. We have been moved out for about a month now and we have not seen additional evidence in our new domicile. The rating would have been higher, based on them letting us leave the lease early without penalty, however I checked the account this morning and saw additional charges for the lease break. Renter beware. They stated that “now that you have moved out, we are able to better treat and hopefully rectify the issue”"
"Living here has been the worst 8 months of my life. Strong warning to anyone considering this community, especially Unit 46, it is many large families with multiple children living in small apartments. The family above us has children who have made us feel so trapped listening to constant running, jumping, screaming and pounding at all hours of the day and night. Our two dogs are petrified constantly. Management minimized our issues for months, and it was only until many attempts to escalate our concerns to the district supervisor of Equity that we were able to plan a way out of this apartment. Aside from the extreme noise problems, the kitchen is outdated and the bathrooms have no air circulation. We’re currently dealing with a leaking ceiling above our shower. All this to say, do not live here."
