"I was interested in an apartment. However I live 2 hours away and when I set up a time to look at a place I was wanting when I drove 2 hours away I got there and the apartment was already rented! They showed me one smaller one and as soon as I walked into the complex it smelled like cigarette smoke, along with the apartment. The company does not allow just a security deposit they want security and first months rent along with a NON refundable application fee $500 if the applicant does not respond with in 72 hours or application fails to pass. This is all needed as soon as you apply. They do not allow just a security deposit! For someone who is moving out of state into a new place and needs a hold place it is NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LOOK AT!!!"
"This isn't the first time I've rented, but this is the first time I've enjoyed renting! A quiet community at the end of a dead-end street. The office staff is quick to communicate and gives much notice when things need to be done. The maintenance staff are phenomenal. All around a great place to rent."
"I cannot understate what a vast mistake and disaster our tenancy at Princeton Arbors, as well as with Princeton Properties overall turned out to be at both properties we were unfortunate enough to reside at in Keene. Before I go into any detail, I must state to be fair that if I could rate the *maintenance staff separately, they would receive five stars*. If only that factor could even begin to outweigh the toxic environment, and vile dynamic between tenant and landlord that is forged the moment you sign your lease with this huge corporation, maybe I wouldn't wish so intensely that there was an option to offer a negative star rating. However, any amicability and "honeymoon" apartment feelings you are made to feel before you sign your lease will quickly vanish the second you pen your autograph. The faux appeal and kindness, understanding, and professionalism goes out the window after they have you on hold for your money - which is all that matters to this team. Princeton Properties touts a noticeable name of a well-known and dignified university - this is the biggest bluff of all considering the company itself lacks these traits, and so many more. Princeton is FAR FROM any "ivy league" of apartments or landlords. You may be made to feel royal before you sign your lease, but don't expect that feeling to last. Soon, you will realize that your apartment is FAR overpriced for what it is, much less than well-maintained, uncomfortable, loud, poorly managed, and unsatisfactory in the most easily fixable of ways if the company valued their apartments and tenants. Your neighbors WILL be plenty noisy considering how many of them you will have, and who they rent to (which includes anyone and their mother). Many are on narcotics, yell about it openly, and scream around the properties and units, and tenants smoke freely around and in the property and buildings, creating a constant bitter smoke aroma in every corridor you enter that seeps into your unit under the doors. Every time you enter your building of residence, these factors will remind you how much of a mistake you made by signing up to live here. And then, they have you EXACTLY where they want you because you'll already be stuck and bound to a lease. When it comes to Princeton Arbors in particular, ask yourself a few questions before you move in. Do you value your privacy? Because with identical buildings directly facing one another across a parking lot, your neighbors will be able to see into your fishbowl apartment just as easily as you will into theirs unless you keep your curtains closed at all times. This miserable setup fosters a nosy and unfriendly environment between tenants naturally. Next ask yourself, do you value peace and quiet? Because that's not something you'll find here. Between the addicts, children, couples screaming and banging on walls, and being sandwiched between a huge shopping plaza and a highway, "quiet" isn't something to be had on this property, along with privacy as I mentioned before. If a door closes, or someone raises their voice in any one of the twenty-four units in your massive building, you better believe you'll hear it through the paper-thin paperboard walls. The bottom line is that the apartments at Arbors, as well as Princeton's general standards, are outdated, overpriced, mismanaged, and poorly laid out. The floor plans don't make sense, and unless you want your living room to be broiling in the summer, you'll have to invest in a $400-$800 in-wall-vent AC unit as well, as there is only an empty vent to be able to cool off the largest of living spaces - no AC is included in any of their apartments, nor is a microwave, if this is something important to you. This becomes a severe issue at Arbors due to the in-wall vent. IMPORTANT to note that the VP rental agent of Princeton Keene, Liz, lives ONSITE at this property. With management as sub-par as this huge corporation's, I would steer clear of any extra opportunities to have someone breathing down your neck. In fact, steer clear of Princeton for your own well-being and dignity."
"Love how quiet it is here! The building and apartment is in top condition, well maintained, clean, everything works beautifully. The neighbors and staff at Arbors are friendly and helpful. Very happy about my move here."
"It will be really happy while signing up for the lease. But same happiness will not last while vacating the apartment. Even after staying for 3 years you still need to pay too much if you break the lease."
