"We loved our one night stay here! Rick was kind enough to upgrade our room to a larger one when it came available at a discounted rate. Him and the other woman working there were very kind and hospitable. Our room was clean and quaint, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, and adorable decorations. The location was perfect and within walking distance of the main strip of Newport and the water front. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!"
"The location was absolutely Perfect! Close to Thames street and all of the shops and you couldn’t beat the price! The staff was so accommodating and friendly as soon as we arrived! They helped us narrow down the best places to eat in town and what to do while we were visiting Newport. Our room was very clean, the bed was super comfy too! And the next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was delicious!!! Highly recommend!!!!"
"The Inn was convenient to everything, our room was clean and spacious. Due to Covid our room was not attended to everyday with fresh towels and such. But staff was accommodating when we needed fresh towels. Breakfast was overall good, but lacked fruit, assorted pastries and they only offered OJ as far as juices were concerned. One morning we were politely asked to leave because they were expecting other guests to occupy our table. We arrived at 7:30am and were asked to leave at 8:00am. Found that pretty rude considering the price per night to stay at this B&B. The Innkeeper was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and offered assistance with getting reservations at some restaurants."
"We actually stayed at The Cleveland House on Clarke St. Quaint old house converted to a B&B. Quiet rooms - the inn was full but we never heard a peep from other rooms. Occasionally some noise from the street, but being located on a one-way street keeps that to a minimum! Our hosts, Rick, and Athelia and Kat were wonderful. Breakfast was great. Parking, as everywhere in Newport, is tight, but Rick had all sorts of options available so we never had any issue. We were there when Hurricane/T.P. Henri went through and so we stayed an extra 2 days to postpone our flight home. We were looking for a place to go online and work, and Rick suggested he could set us up with coffee and a quiet room to work in which turned to be a small dining room with plenty of outlets and work space. We felt wonderfully taken care of! We were planning on Uberring 30 miles to an Amtrak Station to ride to Boston, then a shuttle bus to Logan Airport. Rick suggested a driver he knew, so we ended up with coffee and breakfast and a ride straight to the terminal at Logan. Thank you, Rick and Steve!!"
"I think it's a nice place but paid over $325 a night to be in the attic with a noisy window a/c unit that blocked the only window. Couldn't find a fire escape, so check that to be safe. It was a mismatch of furniture, was not particularly clean or comfortable. Breakfast was included and very nice, but limited selection. Cramped parking included but don't let them put you on the busy street. It is easy walk to the wharfs and main thorough fares which is nice. Triple check what room you are getting or keep shopping. ( I think they left the engine running all day on one guest, park it yourself.)"
