"I've stayed in most of the Copley area hotels, but this was my first time at this Marriott. Really good and efficient check in process with valet parking. Unique elevator controls with a touchscreen and no buttons in the actual elevator. I wasn't able to hang out in their comfortable lobby as they had some kind of leak that made it smell bad. Rooms were very clean and I slept well. Concierge and bellhop stands were very kind and efficient. Awesome location."
"The lack of professionalism from the front desk (a younger Asian girl) was appalling and the rooms themselves were so unpleasant. Extremely thin walls, you can head doors slamming, the housekeeping will be sure to wake you up even when you put a privacy/do not disturb sign on the door handle. This hotel needs a serious upgrade and better management. That said, the one positive was the head manager who sorted issues with grace, I hope a better hotel hires him and he doesn't have to put up with nonsense. I will never stay here again."
"A pretty decent place for the price. They had really good food via room service, the beds were fairly comfortable, though in my opinion, the pillows were maybe a bit too fluffy but that’s more of a personal opinion than anything else. Service and rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely close to the train station if you’re coming into Backbay. All in all a good experience and we would stay here again."
"I am a very loyal Marriott customer. My stay count is over 600. My stay here may have been the worst I have had. Started with Security banging on my door 30 minutes after I checked in. I was finishing calls for work. They claimed that I did not have the right to be in the room...even though I had the room keys and the little card that the reservation desk gave me when I checked in. This went on for some time through the door (I was on a call for work). After satisfying security by showing them the cards I went to the front desk. They apologized and told me everything was all set. I got back to the hotel that evening, only to find out my keys didn't work so I had to trudge down 27 floors get new keys and go back. The final insult was realizing they charged me for the room (I reserved with points) the next day, I contacted the hotel and was told that someone would get back to me. No one did, Called the next day, same promise, same result. I am on day 3 as I write this. Still no resolution."
