"Worst rental experience of my life... started out with them charging a water bill for a one bedroom tiny apartment of over $130.00 a month, mind you this is a waterbill that they create themselves- then when questioned state there's individual meters in each apartment.... There is no way being a single woman who was NEVER home used that much water, its impossible.. no washing machine in the apartment either. They are just scam artists who thought they could pull a fast one.. flash forward my lease was up 11/30, I gave them notice in the beginning of October.. They send me a bill for $965 saying I owe them for December rent, along with a late fee, and a trash fee. I turned my keys in and was out of there 11/15. Apparnetly because I turned in the notice on the 4th of October that was late, guess they wanted me to come in with Covid to drop it off to them. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this complex if you are able, I wish I would have known how crooked they were before I ever moved in."
"Do not move here. My fiancé lives there and the experience has been terrible. The apartment above constantly leaks into his apartment, causing the carpet to get soak and smell. Sometimes, it takes days for maintenance to do anything. The air conditioning never works and kids actually put feces in the communal washing machine a few weeks ago. He received a new leasing agreement a few days ago, so when he called the leasing office to pay his rent on November 2nd, he was told that the deadline to tell them he was moving was November first and that they sent him the lease 70 days ago, so there was no excuse. He told them that he just received the lease agreement and they told him that the problem is with the postal system and has nothing to do with them, so even though his lease ends January 1st, they are making pay for the month of January on a month-to-month rate because of something they are lying about. We're so upset. We're getting married and he's relocating but paying another unnecessary month of rent is so unfair and money we shouldn't have to spend."
"I really enjoyed living here! The location was great, with so many different places to go for walks close by. Target and shoprite were both really close, as well as the mall. Of all the apartments I’ve lived at, this was my favorite. I think a big part was the natural lighting in the apartment complex. The staff was also really easy to talk to and I really respect that they walked through my apartment with me before I left. A few weeks later, they gave me my deposit back. I’ve had issues with past apartments coming up with bogus reasons to keep the deposit, but I think everyone there is really honest. They also stay on top of reminding tenants the rules of the complex so everyone can enjoy the best environment possible. Thanks Village of Cantebury! I loved my time living there"
"Not too bad of a place to live. Maintenance lacks in certain area's. We had a carpet issue for the last two summers just to come and find out that it was a leak from upstairs hvac system. They had to cut our carpet and put a huge fan to dry it out. That took several days to dry. Not to mention they took another week to seal the carpet back and we were told that someone would come disinfect it, that took another few days. When it came time to renew our lease, we were given the option to get an accent wall painted or carpet cleaning, my sister chose the free carpet cleaning, that NEVER happened! Recently had an issue with my neighbors above us. We live on the first floor and the people above us have a dog, no real issues until they were too freaking lazy to walk the dog, so instead it relieved itself back going on the balcony. Which in turn was seeping on to our patio ruining the furniture. Their solution was to wash the entire balcony off, thus again messing up the patio furniture. I called the leasing office and spoke to the property manager who in turn told me to email her exactly what I explained to her about the neighbors. She in turn told me that she sent them an email and was still waiting to hear back from them... however if it was still happening then she would file a formal complaint because they were violating their lease. Now, they do walk their dog bit give nasty stares because of the incident. Only thing that is lacking is their maintenance department. I do see some new faces around and they seem to be stepping their game up when it comes to maintenance issues. Danielle is not playing any games and that is fine by me! She wants not only us as residents to take pride in our beautiful community, but she wants to make sure that it is up to par around here!"
"I lived here 2017-2018 and I absolutely loved living here. I rented a 1 bedroom on the third floor (building 7100). I never really had maintenance issues only 2 concerns in a whole year. Any time I contacted the office for maintenance someone from maintenance was out to fix the problem that same day. During my stay the office staff were always polite and friendly. The pool isn't huge, neither is the gym but the gym was rarely used at the time I went and I enjoyed the sauna. The price was affordable and the apartment was very nice and updated. Quiet Neighborhood. I accidentally left my car doors unlocked a few times, car wasn't stolen, no items taken. Convenient location, minutes to Route 1/95, 10-15 min from the Christiana Mall and lots of shops near by."
