"Do not rent from this place or any of their apartments. They are so incompetent it is hard to believe. I was going to rent a two bedroom at American Square Apartments which is a 55+ apartment complex that they manage.They did not have any pictures of the apartment and took 10 days to do a background and credit check. They never gave me an answer and I called several times to see what was going on. They did not seem to know anything. They did not want my license or social when I was there but when I called them a few days later they told me they could not do anything until I showed them my ID I delt with one of the ladies there named Ester she told me she was in charge and would be letting me know in two days if I was approved. I called back on the day she told me and was told it was her day off and that she was not in charge. The managers name was Edel. I never got an answer from her or anyone there."

"The bedrooms of the 2nd. Floors are an attic type and no queen or good full bed fits in then. The stairs are too steep and narrow."

"I lived at governor's square apartments with my wife for about 15 months. I liked the apartment and all the amenities. Nice washer/dryer, quiet AC and plenty of room in the two-story town house. Great deal for the area. It's a quiet complex and I always felt safe. Property management was very responsive. Fixed AC within a couple hours on a Saturday. I received my full deposit check back. One word of advice for management company is to have more scheduled trash pickups and more recycle bins, especially around Christmas."
