"This place works out very well for me while working on a project at Dover Air Force Base. Only a 10 minute drive to Dover. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The few issues I've had while staying here they are very responsive to. Cleaning staff does a excellent job and the front staff are always friendly."
"New management. They lie and are noticeably racist. The main manager seems to be very miserable and tries to intimidate older guests. She told my Grandmom she would call the police for bringing a small step to climb into a very high bed. The only handicap friendly part of this room was the shower. As Titanium members/humans, we should have been treated better. They even had a problem shoveling the sidewalk during a snowstorm."
"I reserved this property because I have family that works for Marriot. I drove from Colorado by time we got to the hotel my phone had died. I already had the room booked/ paid for. Upon arriving the first thing I asked the front desk manager I'm assuming was if I could email the form in 5 minutes when I got in the room. If they didn't get the form I would have been charged full price so I didn't see the big deal. Instead she had us wait in the lobby til i plugged my phone in and sent it. Fine you got. After that hospitality tho I don't need you being fake nice or asking person questions of why we are in town. You kinda killed that banter being rude. So I politely say with all due respect your Manager had kinda set the tone for our stay. The manager immediately jumps in and says well I can control if you stay here or not and I'll call 911. Hold on call 911 for what because I'm voicing I wasn't pleased with how you handled a situation. She proceeded to pick up the phone a call 911. Don't want to make this a race thing but as much that's going on in the world and country as a black woman you're going to call the police on me for that. As a black man it's hard enough without your own calling the police for nonsense. Because you didn't want to see your ugliness in the mirror. I honestly feel she had an issue with my gf being white and that's exactly how she treated us. That was literally the interaction. As a family and friends member is this how you guys choose to treat others. When your family and friends go places is that the treatment you guys see fir to show guests? I'm still upset and baffled by the experience then to have my card still charged No thank you! Corporate will hear about this and the owner should know. Hospitality means to make customers/guests feel welcomed and appreciated not this."
"We lived here at the Dover Residence Inn for 7 months from December 2022 to July 2023, and it was a pleasure. We were on a business assignment in Dover and honestly weren’t super excited about it to begin with, but we ended up enjoying it way more than we thought. We stayed in a studio for 8 nights before there was a one-bedroom suite available, but even the studio was pretty comfortable and spacious. We couldn’t have asked for better than room 129 though. We had a full kitchen and living room with a fireplace with its own thermostat, large bathroom with plenty of counter space and storage, and a comfortable bedroom with space for our dogs’ kennels. The hotel staff was always super accommodating. Packages were always safe at the front desk and they went above and beyond to help with any issues we had (there were several but they weren’t caused by the hotel at all). The staff is very serious about building safety with cameras and limited outside access. While we were there, they really stepped up their breakfast game with a Keurig and many new beverage options weekly as well as a mew waffle irons and batter dispenser. It is clear that the staff here are always doing their best to improve guest experiences and amenities. The laundry room is also very upgraded compared to any other hotel I’ve stayed at. The machines are fairly new and take cards for $3 per cycle, better than what you’d get at a nice laundromat for sure. It was so helpful that I didn’t feel like I needed to go off-site for laundry every week. The building and furniture are pretty old, but everything is cleaned regularly including the carpet in the common areas. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Dover."
