The Lankford Hotel

"Really enjoyed our stay! I haven’t been back to Ocean City for over a dozen years. Furniture is dated but well kept compared to other locations. For me the nostalgia of it being a bit dated is a positive! Our room was clean and parking was fairly straightforward. We stayed two nights and are looking forward to booking again here this upcoming year! There was a public use porch with rocking chairs we took advantage of one of the evenings (not open 24/7 but pretty late!)."

"Unfortunately one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Between the mold on the base of the shower curtain, the musty smell, stains on the walls and ceilings, filthy mirrors, loads of gnats in the room, and no hairdryer provided, staying at The Lankford Hotel was an uncomfortable experience. Spoke to the front desk about having the toilet looked at as it was clogged before we even used it. The front desk called maintenance to take a look. We asked the front desk to let us be present when maintenance entered the room as all of our stuff was unpacked and out in the open. We waited in the lobby and were told maintenance would come there and then we would all go up to the room. After waiting 15 minutes in the lobby, the front desk person told us that maintenance entered the room without us and the toilet was fixed. The location is excellent, but unfortunately everything else about the hotel made the experience something I would not recommend. We will not be returning."

"This was our third year staying here during bike week. This year was VERY disappointing. The new owners took away the nostalgia and the comfort we enjoyed. No longer provides coffee or breakfast instead you pay $9 for a breakfast sandwich, $7 for a coffee and $15 for a slice of cake!!! They should have left it the way it was and just renovated the book store to coffee bar. The rocking chairs on the porch and the inside sitting room to sit and enjoy your coffee and look out at the beach are all gone. We will definitely be looking for a different place to stay next year!!!"

"The location and service are the best assets of this hotel: on the beach and close to everything. Our room with 2 bedrooms was very clean, beds were comfortable but furniture was old and had seen better days. If you want to be close to the beach at a fairly good price that’s a fair choice. There’s no elevator so it could be tricky for some people if you have a room on the upper floor. Nice balcony on the third floor overseeing the boardwalk and beach."

"We had a lovely stay at the Lankford this past weekend. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat. There is a really nice coffee bar at the front of the hotel and the service there was amazing. Only downside was I noticed a bit of mold in the shower in my room. Other than that, the room was clean and simple but everything you could need for a beach stay."
