Beach Bum West-O

"This place is a hidden gem in Ocean City! We stayed in a cabin for a week in July and had an awesome time. When we checked in the cabin was spotless. They do a great job cleaning and maintaining everything. The cabin is a nice size and the screened in porch was our favorite part. They have cabins and two hotels. The pool is really nice and the water temperature was perfect. There's a playground and some open field space for activities. The property backs onto Herring Creek which is an awesome view. I took some videos and pictures with my drone while I was there and the whole surrounding area is beautiful. This place is kind of far from the beach and boardwalk, but you can drive to the Park and Ride nearby and ride the bus back and forth for free. Beach Bum West-O is an awesome place to stay with great staff and a great property. We'll definitely be back!"

"We really enjoyed this motel. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms looked nice and updated when we entered but our toilet, shower head and sink all leaked. Overall the room was clean and they brought new towels daily which was very nice. The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the motel closest to the road but wished we would have requested 2nd floor. I believe there were a heard of elephants staying above us. Very loud and inconsiderate, not the motels fault of course but made our visit less enjoyable. The breakfast options were great especially at this price point! If we stayed again we would consider a cabin."

"We stayed at a cabin for 4 nights in August. Many pleasant things such as wonderfully cool cabins on hot days, well kept grounds & pool and nice water views by the inlet. A huge plus is allowing our dogs at a reasonable rate. Our cabin was adorable, the floor was quite sandy upon our arrival, but we just kept our slippers on. The microwave and tub had rust stains but other than that it was a very nice cabin!! I would have given it 4-5 stars but the service was horrible. The main contact was Carlo, and he was very nice and accommodating, however, you do NOT want to deal with the owner. She lied to me and she is quite rude and has no customer service skills whatsoever. No details here, but trust me, avoid her at all possible costs. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Hopefully they will continue to update the cabins one at a time. I do think these cabins are overpriced though, to be honest. We could have rented an entire house in Ocean Pines for the same price, but the location is great and you get a little bit of that camping vibe. Overall, I would recommend."

"I was very disappointed in the room we had at Beach Bum West-O. It was so tiny, no place to put luggage, no chair to sit in, only two tall metal stools at a stand made out of 2x4’s. You can see that it had been recently renovated, but It was very dirty, as you can see by the pictures. I cleaned things with my own Clorox wipes just to use the bathroom. The bathroom had long black hair everywhere too. The TV only had a few channels, only one for kids. The grounds were nice, we liked the canal to fish in, the pool was fun and it had a nice playground too. The location wasn’t bad, a 4 minute drive to the beach, but finding parking was awful. The dirty room with zero room was a huge downfall in my book. I am so thankful I brought a set of sheets and my blanket and pillow with me. The staff was nice."

"I wanted to write a review on this cute hotel. We only stayed one night, and had a room with one queen bed. The room was very small. However it has everything we needed. I work at a hotel also and have 25 years experience. I wanted to mainly leave a review on how happy and impressed I was to have such a clean room. Not only that your maintenance crew must be impressive as well. I notice little things, doors were painted, flower beds were up to par, stairs in nice shape etc. the place is well taken care of and you can tell your employees take pride. The young college student checked us in and was very pleasant. I even saw him driving around at night in a golf cart just checking things out, which made me feel safe as well. He should get a raise haha. Or at least tell your staff what a good job they are doing, you included. Location was nice also. Hopefully we will be back down that way and would definitely stay again.
