La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

"We booked this Hotel Friday and Saturday night Jan 13/14 24. We had a two queen size bed with breakfast. This hotel was supposed to be non smoking as I am allergic to smoke. My husband and son went to the wrestling tournament while I stayed in with a headache. At around 8:30-9pm the hotel was overwhelmingly full of marijuana smoke to include my room from vents. Then the walls start to shake with LOUD music. I called the desk and the man never answered twice. So I called the police. They came in and could smell it from the parking lot. He went door knocking but the offender refused to answer the door. After waking the next morning with swollen and itching eyes and face they offered us to move. Next room was great until 11pm. People started blaring music again. Our son goes to the desk and asks the attendant to please call and ask them to turn down the music. He says the man did NOT want to call but reluctantly did. About 15 mins later our room once again smells like weed. These people do not care as they are currently “renovating”. I would never stay in a non smoking hotel that allows anyone and everyone to overwhelm the place with pot. Not a care in the world that they themselves break the rules. Never again. The rooms were nice but not worth it. Truly will never stay here again and would not recommend the breakfast. Uncooked/raw potatoes, no real cream for coffee, Instant plain oatmeal packs. Oh and a waffle machine. Nothing healthy at all."

"I really love staying at La Quinta when I'm in Ocean City which is at least twice a year. Their staff members are always helpful and pleasant. The breakfast includes real food food, waffles, bacon, sausage and many more options. They have plenty of spaces outside your room to relax on the main level that has a tranquil vibe going on. The outdoor pool is small scale but located on a side of the building that provides plenty of shade from the sun...(a plus to me). I would recommend this hotel all day, everyday."

"The staff is nice, location is great, and the fact that they allow pets is fantastic… but the hotel has deteriorated significantly since my last stay. My AC was completely not working the first night and we were moved. The second room’s AC was def not working properly. It would completely shut off for hours and the rooms were humid and hot when it turned off. The cleanliness is a MAJOR issue for me in the hotel. The hallway carpets had major disgusting pee stains all over the 3rd floor, the room floors were filthy and it showed. The sheets and comforters were stained, I even questioned if they were washed. The bathroom had mold and the shower head was spraying water everywhere in the first room and had visible mold on it in second room. I really used to love the hotel, but I had to leave an honest review. They need to maintain, and upgrade the facility. They def need to upkeep with the cleaning especially since they allow pets and it’s their greatest feature!"

"The room was clean and well maintained. Staff were courteous and helpful especially Marquis Lopez. For two seniors he went out of his way to help with the breakfast needs. Checkin was at 4 as stated. Lobby was clean and attractive. Plenty of parking. Easy walk to the beach. Pool was clean and plenty of seating."

"Dogs and cats welcome! Hotel is on the newer side and still looks and feels it. When we were there, the maintenance guy was cleaning vents, painting a ceiling, and addressing all of the guest needs alone it seemed. But, he was doing an excellent job and was cheerful. My only complaints about this spot is that the parking garage fills up pretty quickly, you can hear everything in the hallway from your room, and the breakfast is very poorly maintained. We visited during busy season and they had one of the 2 entries locked so there was a bottleneck getting into the small breakfast galley. Then they food wasn't stocked well and not replenished properly. At one point a woman came out of the back and put a bag of frozen bagels on the counter and left. Seriously, just left! They ran out of plates, napkins, and all food except the juice by 9:15. Terrible planning. But, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Most have balconies that are spacious. They have a designated dog potty area. They are also right on the main road so easy to find. Only a block from the ocean!"
