"Absolutely horrifying experience. After driving for 10 hours we decided to stop as it was right off the highway. When we went to check in around 1 am there was a couple in the lobby trying to get their deposit back because their room was filthy. The person at the desk said he was going to call the police on them, so they left. After we checked in and went to the room, we noticed several burn holes from cigarettes in the bedding. The shower had long black hair in it all over (I'm a red head..husband is blonde, so not us) and the tub stopper was broken so if you took a shower the tub filled. We decided to just put up with it, as it was cheap and only one night, but as we were trying to sleep someone started shooting a gun off in the parking lot, and sirens followed. Absolutely terrifying experience. I will definitely not be staying at any of these locations ever again."

"After driving 3 days I was excited about finding a place to take hot shower and lay my head down. I booked through PriceLine and it said I would have mini fridge and micowave and that they would require CC for incidentials. I arrived and while waiting to check-in a lady was saying they called police on her so I could go next. She didn't have any of the amenties and wanted early check in, desk clerk didn't like her attitude and called police. Actually she just wanted what was promised and to pay the quoted amount for early check in, Upon my check in I was told there was a deposit of $50 and would be refunded 7-10 days. PriceLine didn't have that information. I got to room and 1 of the 2 beds were not even made up, blankets and pillows thrown in corner. No fridge or microwave. Had to hole the drain cap open with a knife so the tub would drain. No wash rags only 2 towels. No ironing board or iron, and my holder for iron is in top of corner by window. No toiletries at all. I phone desk clerk to ask him make note on my registeration about beds and amenties and he said he would give me different room. I explained I had driven a long ways and wanted hot shower and wasn't sleeping on both but I wanted management aware of inconsistences. He kept arguing with me and said he wouldn't give me any credits or discounts (I didn't even ask for one). I hung up on him and he continued to call my room for next 45 minutes trying to change my room. I attempted to use blow dryer and could not plug in because the plug didn't fit into the outlet. It had 2 small slots instead of normal 1 small and 1 larger. So why they even had one in the room I don't know. I probably will never stay at a Red Roof again."

"Budget non-smoking room. No frills, but okay for the price. Air conditioning unit worked, as did the refrigerator. The TV did not. Room was reasonably clean, except for the carpet. Towels are small, very thin material. Everything could use a deep-cleaning and/or a fresh coat of paint. No housekeeping was provided. Car alarm in the parking lot started going off at 2 a.m."
