Jubilee Catholic ECC

Welcome to Jubilee Catholic Early Childhood Centre, located at 67 Clyde Street, Hamilton, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to providing a Christian-based education for preschool children.

At Jubilee Catholic ECC, we understand that each child is unique and has their own individual strengths and capabilities. We believe in nurturing and encouraging their development at their own pace. With the support of parents, we aim to discover and develop each child's God-given potential.

Our journey began in February 2000 when our founder, Christina Reymer, proposed the establishment of a Catholic Early Childhood Centre. In April 2001, Jubilee Playgroup was formed, which eventually led to the fully licensed and official opening of Jubilee Catholic Early Childhood Centre in October 2002.

As a Community Centre, we are governed by a Board of Directors and have a Management Committee representing our Board member, Supervisor, and Jubilee Families. Our primary focus is to support children's faith development in partnership with the whánau (family), community, and parish.

At Jubilee, we believe that children learn best through play. Therefore, we provide an environment that supports their holistic development by offering open-ended resources. We believe that learning and teaching are most successful when children feel safe, loved, valued, and their achievements are acknowledged.

Building strong relationships is essential to creating a sense of belonging for children and their families at Jubilee. Through these relationships, we can support parental aspirations and expectations for their child.

Our guiding documents include Te Wháriki and The NZ Catholic Curriculum statement, which are further supported by current theory and teaching practices. We also recognize and celebrate the special place that Maori hold as tangata whenua in Aotearoa/New Zealand. We embrace and share our bi-cultural Aotearoa and the multicultural community within our centre.
