Welcome to Silverdale Normal School, a prominent establishment and point of interest located at 62 Silverdale Road in Hamilton, New Zealand. As a primary school, we provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are pleased to announce that Silverdale Normal School is now accepting enrolments from out-of-zone students starting from Term 2/3, 2023. This presents a wonderful opportunity for families residing outside our immediate zone to join our vibrant school community. However, please note that if the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the available places, a ballot will be conducted to determine the successful applicants. This ballot will be held on Monday, 18th September 2023. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, 15th September 2023. Parents will be promptly informed of the ballot outcome within three school days.

At Silverdale Normal School, we follow a comprehensive enrolment policy that prioritizes acceptance based on specific criteria. We believe in supporting our learners and their families beyond the classroom, which is why we have recently added a new menu item on our website called "Home Learning." This section provides valuable resources and information from each of our teams, along with a collection of useful links to various learning-based websites. We encourage parents to explore this section and reach out to their child's classroom teacher or a member of our Leadership Team for any additional support. In addition, we would like to inform parents that starting from Wednesday, 15th April, TV Channels will be available for children to support their learning at home. We understand the importance of adapting to the ever-changing circumstances, and as such, we will continue to monitor and respond to government alerts. On Monday, 20th April, the government will reconsider the alert level, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
