Recognizing the chronic shortage of pharmacists in the health workforce, the University of Waikato is proud to announce the introduction of a new graduate-entry Master of Pharmacy Practice degree. We are set to accept our first students in early 2025, providing an opportunity for aspiring pharmacists to contribute to the healthcare system.

As the climate crisis worsens, flood-related disasters are becoming more frequent and severe. Despite the significant investment made by countries to protect communities, the challenges persist. At the University of Waikato, we are committed to addressing these issues and finding sustainable solutions.

To further enhance our well-respected clinical psychology program, we have recently welcomed The Psychology Centre, an independent mental health clinic, onto our Hamilton campus. This addition strengthens our commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to our students and the community.

We understand the importance of post-illness or injury support in improving the quality of life. Unfortunately, many New Zealanders with health conditions and injuries not covered under the ACC model face disadvantages. At the University of Waikato, we strive to bridge this gap and provide support to those in need.
