We are proud to offer large outdoor spaces where children can explore and engage in various activities. Our transition to school programmes are designed to prepare children for their next educational journey, focusing on numeracy, literacy, nature, science, computers, puzzles, creative arts, and more.

We understand the importance of providing flexible options for parents, which is why we offer different session times. Our extended day runs for 6.5 to 7.5 hours between 8am and 3.30pm, while our morning session runs for 4 to 4.5 hours between 8am and 12.30pm. Afternoon sessions are available for 3 to 3.5 hours between 12pm and 3.30pm.

One of the benefits of choosing Grasslands Kindergartens Waikato is that we offer 20 hours of early childhood education (ECE) each week for children aged 2 and above. This is provided free of charge. For any additional hours, we charge $4.00 per hour. However, if you have attested any of your 20 ECE Hours at another service, the rate increases to $5.25 per hour.

Our daily schedule includes various activities and opportunities for children to learn and develop. During mat time, children come together to share information, stories, songs, and engage in movement, drama, and waiata. We also provide learning extensions that focus on preparing children for school, fostering child friendships, and encouraging exploration of numeracy, literacy, nature, science, technology, and creative arts.

We welcome children and their families at 8am and engage in child-led learning activities. At 9.30am, we have mat time where we gather as a group to discuss and share. Kai time, which is mealtime, follows at 9.45am. Throughout the day, children participate in various activities and child-led learning until it's time to tidy up at 12pm. We then have another mat time session before saying goodbye to the morning session children.

At 12.30pm, we welcome the afternoon session children and their families, and the activities and child-led learning continue. Kai time as a whaanau takes place at 2.15pm, and at 3pm, we begin tidying up. Finally, at 3.30pm, we bid farewell to the children as they go home.
