Taupiri Play Centre

Welcome to Taupiri Play Centre, located on Greenlane Road in Taupiri, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we offer a unique early childhood education experience for both children and their parents/caregivers.

At Taupiri Play Centre, children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children), allowing them to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities, including exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, dressing up in costumes, face painting (or doing it themselves!), gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy. With activities changing daily, there's always something new to discover.

One of the unique aspects of Playcentre is the involvement of parents. Our Playcentre parents bring a variety of skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, enriching the learning environment for all. We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years, promoting mixed age play that allows children to engage with others older and younger than themselves. This fosters important skills such as communication, sharing, and empathy for their younger peers.

At Taupiri Play Centre, families come together, forming lifelong friendships. We encourage you to visit us at any time during the year. You are entitled to three free visits, so come and see what we do – we would love to meet you and your family!
