Welcome to BestStart Waiata Shores, a premier establishment and point of interest located at 26 Gosper Road, Auckland. At our institution, we prioritize creating an environment that fosters physical outdoor learning for your child. Our challenging outdoor area allows children to engage with playground equipment, building their independence and self-confidence.

In addition, we provide healthy and nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, ensuring your child receives the nourishment they need to thrive. We also offer BestStart's Be School Ready initiative for our preschool children, incorporating it into everyday practice to assist with their learning journey. This initiative encourages the development of self-help skills and provides opportunities for children to extend their independence.

We understand the importance of keeping parents informed about their child's progress, which is why we use Storypark, an online learning portfolio, to capture and share your child's milestones and learning journey. Through one-on-one communication and the ability to log in and view photos and activities, you can stay up to date with your child's experiences at the center.

As a registered charity owned by the Wright Family Foundation, BestStart is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children. We support initiatives and programs within our centers and the wider early childhood education sector that promote equitable outcomes for all children.

To ensure exceptional standards, our centers benefit from a strong support network, including a dedicated Area Manager who oversees the centers' operations.

Promoting Hauora (Wellbeing) is a priority for us. Our teachers ensure that children engage in physical activity as part of their everyday learning experiences and provide healthy food to nourish their bodies.
