Takanini Family Service Centre

Welcome to the Takanini Family Service Centre, located at 8 Oakleigh Avenue in Takanini, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families in their journey towards brighter futures.

At the Great Potentials Foundation, our mission is to empower parents and caregivers to provide the best possible start in life for their children. One of our flagship programs, HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters), is a home-based early education initiative. HIPPY equips parents with the tools and resources to support their 2-5-year-old children in lifelong learning, setting a solid foundation for their educational journey.

Another program we offer is MATES (Mentoring and Tutoring Education Scheme), which specifically addresses the underachievement in education experienced by disadvantaged youth at Year 8 and Year 13 in New Zealand. Through mentoring and tutoring, we strive to bridge the educational gap and provide these young individuals with the support they need to succeed.

Our Family Service Centre in Takanini is a true community hub, along with our sister center in Papakura. These centers serve as integrated health, education, and social service providers, catering to the unique needs of two high-needs communities. We are committed to fostering a holistic approach to well-being by offering a range of services that address the various aspects of individuals' lives.
