Welcome to Busy Bees Roscommon, located at Auckland, Roscommon Road, 421. We are an establishment, point of interest, and school that values every child and sees them as unique and special. We understand that choosing the right center for your child's education and care is a big decision, and we are here to provide a warm and welcoming environment.

At Busy Bees, we believe in the environment as the third teacher. We create a fun and homely space where we work in partnership with our whanau (family) and the community. Our goal is to create an environment that represents multiple cultures, fostering a sense of belonging, respect, and trust in children, parents, and whānau. We provide equitable opportunities for children to learn alongside their peers and teachers.

We are a diverse and relaxed center that embraces different cultures in our curriculum. We believe that partnering with parents/whānau is key to expanding our knowledge of culture, both for teachers and children. We celebrate cultural days such as Diwali and Matariki, and our teachers put in effort to prepare for these events by researching customs and ideas. We encourage parents/whānau to participate in any way they wish!

Conversations flow throughout our center as children build positive relationships with their teachers. We actively listen to our tamariki (children) and strive to implement their ideas whenever possible, fostering respectful and reciprocal relationships. We are always open to more contributions and connections!

Nourishing food is a priority at Busy Bees. Our in-house cook provides freshly made meals for children each day, following the New Zealand Heart Foundation's Healthy Heart Award guidelines. We believe that through nourishing food, children are fueled to thrive physically and mentally, while enjoying the benefits of coming together and connecting at mealtimes. We also engage children in baking activities, providing opportunities to learn food preparation skills and develop independence.

Transportation is made easy with our own Busy Bees center van. We can assist both new and existing families who require transport to and from the center. Additionally, we utilize the van for exciting excursions in our local community!

Our center is divided into age-specific environments. The Honey Pots environment is for infants up to 2 years old, focusing on building loving and trusting bonds between infants and teachers. The Little Bears environment is for children aged 2-3.5 years, encouraging curiosity and exploration. The Polar Bears program is for children aged 3.5-6 years, allowing them to contribute to the curriculum and prepare for their next learning adventure. We also offer a school readiness program, including visits to Rowandale Primary School, to ease the transition to primary school.

The first five years of a child's life are incredibly significant and influential. We understand the importance of this time and strive to provide a nurturing and educational environment for your child. Outdoor play is also an essential part of a child's development, and we encourage and facilitate outdoor exploration.
