As the home of the Auckland Trotting Club Incorporated, we are proud to offer a unique and versatile venue for all types of events. Situated at Green Lane West, 239, our establishment is conveniently located in the heart of the city.

Our functions centre boasts 10 spacious and adaptable function spaces, as well as a large outdoor area. Whether you are planning a small gathering or a large-scale event, we have the perfect space to accommodate your needs. Some of our rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, providing ample natural light and stunning views across Auckland.

For intimate meetings or conferences, our Alex boardroom is the ideal choice, comfortably accommodating less than 20 guests. If you require a larger space, our Tasman Room can seat up to 900 people in a theatre-style setup. For a unique twist on your event, consider our Stables, a flexible outdoor undercover space that offers a refreshing change from traditional venues.

In addition to our exceptional event facilities, Alexandra Park is also renowned for being the largest harness racing track in the North Island. With 31 race nights per year, our venue attracts both racing enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The thrill of watching the horses thunder down the track under the lights has become a beloved tradition in Auckland.

As a popular function and conference venue, we offer a wide range of high-quality food and beverage options. Whether you prefer all-day dining or bistro-style meals, our onsite establishments, such as The Alex Bar & Eatery, have you covered. The history of Alexandra Park dates back to 1842 when the first trotting races were held in Epsom, a central Auckland suburb. Over time, the races grew in popularity, leading to the establishment of the Epsom Trotting Club in 1884. In 1890, the Auckland Trotting Club was granted a lease to hold regular races on our current site. Since the 1950s, Thursday and Friday night trots under lights have become a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors, solidifying Alexandra Park as an institution in Auckland.
