Welcome to the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre, located on Northcote Road in Auckland, New Zealand. Our establishment is not just a point of interest, but a hub for the community to come together and enjoy various sports activities.
Originally established as a netball center, the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre has expanded its offerings to include tennis and volleyball as well. We are proud to provide a range of competitions and tournaments throughout the year, catering to school teams, clubs, and social grade players.
Conveniently situated adjacent to the Northcote Road off-ramp off the Northern motorway, our center offers easy access for both north and southbound traffic. This prime location also makes it easily accessible to the bustling business community in Auckland CBD, as well as the residents of the North Shore.
At the Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre, community engagement has always been at the forefront of our mission. We strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages and skill levels can participate and enjoy the sports they love. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, our facilities are designed to cater to your needs.
In exciting news, we are delighted to announce the forthcoming reinstatement of our center, scheduled for August 24th, 2023. However, please note that the center will be temporarily closed from October 2023 through to February 2024 to facilitate this process. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period but assure you that the improvements will enhance your future experiences at our facility.

"When I was younger, I played netball here, and now my son is playing here too. Would love to see the possibility of protection from rain on the outdoor courts but can understand would be a big project and larger parking as it gets hectic and I am very surprised there have not been a lot of accidents in the chaos of people arriving and leaving. But other than those problems, which would be almost impossible to fix without big money and extra land this netball centre has provided many many people with the possibility to play netball and the organizers that set it all up and ensure that the games are fair with the right grades at the right times etc don't know how they do it but they do and I will forever be thankful to them for setting up so many generations with the opportunity to play netball in a safe controlled and supportive environment. Thank you to everyone who is part of the running of this place. You are all legends!!!"

"Great free-to-use public tennis courts during the summer months. An honesty box has a gold coin donation request as you walk past the entrance. Decent surface. Plenty of parking."
