Sunnynook Community Centre
About the Business
Welcome to Sunnynook Community Centre, located in Auckland on Sycamore Drive. As an establishment and point of interest, our purpose is to enhance the social and cultural well-being of people of all ages, cultures, and interests. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where the community can come together.
At Sunnynook Community Centre, we have a strong community focus that drives the decisions we make. We believe in embracing and celebrating the diversity within our community, ensuring that everyone feels welcome. As a non-profit community Early Childhood Centre, we offer all-day and sessional options for children of mixed ages, providing quality early childhood education and care.
Our centre is a popular meeting venue, with over 50 local groups and businesses utilizing our facilities each week. Situated on the corner of Sunnynook Road and Sycamore Drive in Sunnynook, Auckland City, we also have rooms available for hire at Sunnynook Community Centre and the Kennedy Park Observation Post in Castor Bay.
In addition to our regular services, we have Sunnynook Community Early Learning, which operates during school terms. We also run School Holiday and Youth Holiday Programs at Sunnynook and Kennedy Park, respectively.
One of our exciting initiatives is the Community Food Pantry, which has been stocked and officially opened by our supporters from Benefitz. The pantry operates on a "Take What You Need, Leave What You Can" basis and offers essential items such as flour, sugar, salt, and cornflour from Gilmours Constellation Drive. We kindly ask that you support and enjoy this wonderful community initiative without abusing it. If you have items to contribute, please send us a private message.
Your privacy is important to us, and we want to ensure you are fully aware of your data protection rights. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability. Our priority also includes protecting children while using the internet, so we encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and monitor their online activities.
Come join us at Sunnynook Community Centre, where we strive to provide accessible and affordable opportunities for the community to come together, learn, and grow.
