Meander Valley residents have shown their commitment to sustainability by diverting an impressive 64 percent of waste from landfill. This remarkable achievement reflects our community's dedication to preserving the environment and creating a greener future.

In 2023, we are thrilled to be hosting the prestigious 2023 Lexus Melbourne Cup at the Deloraine Racecourse and the Deloraine and Districts Folk Museum. This highly anticipated event promises to be an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors alike.

To promote community wellbeing, the Meander Valley Council is launching a comprehensive program that offers a range of free "come and try" activities. We believe that engaging in these activities will not only improve physical health but also foster a sense of belonging within our community.

If you enjoy road trips and meaningful conversations, we invite you to join our team of volunteer drivers for the Deloraine Community Car. By offering your time and companionship, you can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

In response to proposed boundary changes by the State Government, our dedicated councillors have unanimously endorsed a position against these changes. We are committed to preserving the unique identity and character of Meander Valley.

The Meander Valley Council's 2023-24 budget poses challenges, but we remain committed to delivering essential services and initiatives that benefit our community. We appreciate your understanding and support during this process.
