Rose Street Clinic
About the Business
Welcome to Rose Street Clinic, located in the beautiful beachside suburb of Glenelg, South Australia. Our clinic offers a range of services as a doctor's establishment and health point of interest. We are committed to providing holistic care to all individuals and families in our community.
At Rose Street Clinic, we prioritize the health and safety of our patients. If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath, we kindly ask that you do not attend the clinic in person. Instead, we encourage you to make a phone consult with our doctors, who will assess your condition and arrange an in-clinic appointment if necessary. Please speak to our staff if you have any questions or concerns.
In order to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for everyone, we ask that you dress according to the weather conditions if you are waiting outside the clinic. Additionally, we would like to remind you to be patient and understanding with our staff, as we are currently experiencing high call volumes. We encourage you to book appointments online whenever possible to alleviate the strain on our phone lines.
As an accredited practice, Rose Street Clinic takes pride in maintaining current and professional practicing standards. Our team of friendly GPs is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to our patients. We offer bulk billing for children under 16 years of age and DVA White or Gold card holders. Concession card holders can also benefit from discounted rates.
Flu injections are now available at our clinic. If a referral or prescription is required, please book an appointment either online or by calling our reception team. We are also pleased to offer COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine bookings, which can be made through a standard appointment or online.
To accommodate the needs of our patients, we now offer telehealth appointments. Please note that a standard fee may be charged for this service. Our clinic operates on an appointment system, with standard appointments lasting 15 minutes. If you believe you require additional time with your doctor, please inform the receptionist when booking your appointment.
For new patients, we schedule long appointments to allow for a thorough medical history review and address your current condition. Please be aware that Rose Street Clinic is a private billing clinic and does not routinely bulk bill. Full payment is required on the day of consultation, and we accept cash or EFTPOS payments.
To ensure a safe environment, we have implemented a maximum of 5 people in the waiting room at any given time. If you are able to wait in your car, please inform our staff, and we will call you when the doctor is ready to see you. We also recommend phoning before your appointment to check the doctor's schedule and reduce waiting time.
We want to remind you that there will be an account to be paid in full at the end of your consultation, as we are not a bulk billing clinic. However, children under 16 years of age, DVA card holders, and Centrelink concession card holders are eligible for bulk billing or discounted rates. Please refer to our Fees page for more information.
Thank you for choosing Rose Street Clinic for your healthcare needs. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and look forward to serving you and your family.

"Dr Hetzel is the ideal GP. Kind, sensible, sympathetic. Other doctors at this practice are generally v good."
"Dr. Davey is the most helpful doctor I have ever had. He is so caring and compassionate and has cared for me for years when other drs. Have written me off.i cannot speak highly enough of him.thanks David nanscowen"
"My brother and I, as powers of attorney for our mother with dementia, made a joint decision for Mum to use the in-house doctors when moving to a nursing home, following a failure to diagnose a simple but debilitating complaint common in older people. We had thought Mum was on her way out, but the hospital fixed this obvious and simple matter. After advising Rose St clinic of our decision, I was phoned by a belligerent person from the clinic who demanded answers to questions, but did not want to know our wishes. Weeks later, the nursing home phoned me to say the doctor was there demanding to have Mum use him, as that is what we wanted. I assured the nursing home that was the opposite of what we wanted. Today, I was phoned by a federal body that was investigating the possibility of wrong conduct by the nursing home, as they had been told by the clinic we wanted Mum to continue to use their doctor! An error in diagnosis is one thing, but I am tired of their belligerent dishonesty!"
"Pretty traditional, non commercial, extremely careful in diagnosis and well experienced doctors. My blessing, especially when it comes to my kids. Just can't compromise with anything lesser. Dr. Pattichis and Dr. Martin, my favourites ☺☺"
