Welcome to Glenelg Psychology, a well-established psychology practice located on Anzac Highway in Glenelg, Australia. Since its founding in 1997 by Sandy Litt, Glenelg Psychology has been providing high-quality psychological services to the community. Our practice is home to provisional psychologists working towards full registration, as well as psychology students on placements.

Today, Glenelg Psychology boasts a team of three registered psychologists and a visiting clinical psychologist, offering a wide range of services. We have earned a strong reputation for our commitment to providing empowering healthcare and strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all our clients.

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a graduate psychologist to join our busy and successful practice. Located just a stone's throw away from Glenelg beach, our practice provides a supportive and collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will have completed their post-graduate qualifications and may be in their final year towards registration or have recently become registered. We will provide you with client referrals, office space, and administrative assistance, as well as the opportunity to learn from experienced psychologists and gain valuable private practice experience.

Sandy Litt, the Director and Psychologist of Glenelg Psychology, is a highly experienced practitioner. With expertise in therapy, hypnotherapy, and psychological assessments, Sandy has been helping individuals with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and dissociative disorders. Sandy also provides assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children, teenagers, and adults. He has extensive experience in teaching, training, and supervising psychology students and has been involved in the field for many years.

Dimitra, another registered psychologist at Glenelg Psychology, brings a wealth of experience to our practice. With qualifications in Behavioural Science and Psychology, she has been working in private practice since 2006. Dimitra is constantly expanding her skills through attending conferences and workshops, and she has a special interest in couples' work. She takes an empathic and compassionate approach to therapy, aiming to enhance emotional wellbeing and facilitate meaningful change for her clients.

Melody, our dedicated psychologist, is passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan. With a warm and curious approach, she creates a safe and comfortable environment for individuals to explore their goals and support their wellbeing. Melody practices evidence-based approaches, primarily focusing on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness frameworks. She considers the holistic wellbeing of her clients, taking into account their emotional, social, and physical needs.

At Glenelg Psychology, we offer both in-person and Telehealth appointments, allowing clients to choose their preferred mode of consultation. We accept Medicare rebates with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referral from a GP, enabling up to ten appointments per calendar year. Private health fund rebates are also available, with on-the-spot Hicaps claiming for most funds.
