Nedlands School of Early Learning was established in 1974 by co-director Bernadette Giambazi, making it the first centre ever opened by SOEL. As an independent family-run business, Bernadette's three daughters now work together as Directors, overseeing all six SOEL centres. Due to high demand, our Nedlands child care centre relocated to its current larger facility on Government Road. This tailor-made state-of-the-art building was designed with child care in mind and has been expanded in 2001 to accommodate more children.

In 2019, we underwent a much-anticipated refurbishment, creating all-new child care spaces that retain the same child-friendly design and flow. These renovations have brought renewed energy and excitement to our centre, ensuring a vibrant and engaging environment for both current and future children. For over 20 years, Nedlands SOEL has been recognized as a model of child care excellence.

Our kitchen is a lovely and light open space that connects to many of the rooms. It serves as a communal area where children gather to discuss tastes, textures, home life, and the day's activities. We prioritize sourcing organic fruit and vegetables, and our meals are made using the freshest, local, and seasonal products available.

To ensure the safety of our children, we have a secure entrance and drop-off collection area on the Government Road side of the building. We also offer Child Care Subsidy options and provide assistance in managing enrolments for your convenience.
