"The carers really seem to love my boy and get excited when they see him which makes me feel at ease and secure knowing that he is being well looked after. My only note for the centre would be to expand the opening times. It's difficult when working to get in for 7.45am and still make it to work on time. Same goes for the 5.45pm pick up time - makes getting there a in time a bit stressful. Overall it's been great!"
"I have had my child here since 6 months of age. She has a wonderful time and the staff are warm and nurturing."
"We had terrible experience in UWA Early Learning Center from January 2019 to July 2020. The reasons I wrote this comment is that I would like to tell other parents our true experience rather than marking one or two stars and I hope no other babies or kids will suffer such painful experience as same as my son's in the future. My son just turned to 1 year old when he started to join UWA Early Learning Center in January 2019. It is no exaggeration to say that my son had had nappy rash every time when I picked him up from UWA Early Learning Center, and nobody informed us about his nappy rash during the half years. So We have to check his bottom every time and if there was serious nappy rash, I had to tell the educators that please change his nappy regularly and inform us if there is any nappy rash on his bottom. But nothing changed until we decided to move to another childcare center. In addition, my son had bumped onto the garden ground and hard toys in UWA Early Learning Center for three times within four sequential weeks. The grazes bled and resulted in scars on my son's forehead. One of these scares is close to his left eye. The educators in UWA Early Learning Center only gave me one informing form even though there was three bleed accidents happening within four sequential weeks. We had emailed to the manager many times about these situations and tried to discuss with the manager in a formal way. The manager of UWA Early Learning Center did not even arrange a parent meeting for us, but sent us emails about the reasons of tumbling down and injuries might be that my son could not walk well. The manager and the educators suggested us that "taking him to playgrounds, or preparing some gross motor toys for him to climb and jump at home, ... and of course encourage lots of independent walking and running". We surely know that child at this age are learning to master many new skills, which include large motor control, and during this time children will often have accidents and tumbles as they learn and practice these new skills. So I believe one of the reasons of parents hiring childcare center to take care of their children is that to support their children to learn new skills in a safe environment and in the meanwhile, to prevent severe injury or accidents from happening. As a popular, high-ranking early learning center affiliated with UWA, the services for children should be professional, the educators should be alert and the manager should be responsible. Unfortunately, their performance failed our expectation. I will never recommend UWA early learning center to any people unless they improve the professional skills and service attitude. I hope that Department of Communities or/and Education and Care Regulatory Unit assess and rate the UWA early learning center accurately and carefully in the future."
"This daycare is a cut above the rest. Started bringing my daughter here just before she was 1 - and she loves it. It is a home away from home, with caring educators, a gorgeous homeroom and fun activities. I have seen my daughter blossom here. They even go as far as having a dietitian review their weekly menu and help them adjust it to ensure maximum nutrition. 6 out of 5!"
"Best professional and caring service I have ever worked and has my child at and I have worked at many centres in Perth and had my son in other centres in Australia and this one tops them all!!"
