"Attractive water resort and scenic location not far from Melbourne CBD"
"There are multiple picnic spots on sugarloaf but this one is my favourite. There are no pets allowed here. You can walk down to the lake and do fishing. Alternatively, it’s a lovely walk by the lake, just relax or even sit in Woden huts next to the water!! Perfect place for picnics and spend the whole day with family."
"Beautiful, scenic, calm place to go and chill out. There are places to walk, bicycle trails, barbecues, lookouts, parking, picnic areas. The bird life is superb with kangaroos and it’s just so peaceful on the waters edge (you’re not allowed to swim as it’s a reservoir). My only let down was the ablution (toilets). Terribly maintained, if at all, and honestly does stop me from going back. Just fix that and the spot will be incredible - 10/10."
"You can walk or jog long distances in this trail with a lot of beautiful sceneries around you"
"Great hike, the circuit was 17km on Strava, took me 3hrs. Some easy sections, some narrow and a bit overgrown, one decent climb (steep walk) and one very steep descent. Rocky, undulating and cambered terrain, with a few trees down to climb over, but, nothing that can't be walked with a good pair of boots and careful footing. A few toilet stops on the way. Plenty of orange markers (posts and arrows) to keep you on track. If you just keep heading towards the water, you'll pick up the track at some point if you do happen to miss a spot. I would recommend a moderate level of fitness and mobility and would take some snacks and at least 1.5lt of water. Lots of roos and rabbits around and great views and plenty of space to just chill out as you get around. Enjoy!"
