"We were booking powered site 44, but when we get there we found it is muddy and slope there, then we change to site 40, it was good. But we found that site 31 has better view and scene, will go site 31 next time or go unpowered site with seaside in summer. Bathroom is clean but have insects. There are facilities of laundry, kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave. Don’t need boom gate access code to the site but need code to access amenities. High recommended this site, the Seaview is really pretty, many people come to surfing, and there is a vintage surfing store and general store in the campsite. Fire is prohibited."
"Great place to stay. Friendly staff close to the beach. Good spot to fish. Kitchen available which is a plus"
"First time we've been to this side of the peninsula and really enjoyed it,despite the howling wind we experienced on the Saturday. The camp sites are spacious, ablutions are great and the camp kitchen. We stayed in the non powered site area. Site 108. Only negative were the amount of rats running around at night. Some pest control measures are in need. Del welcomed us at the office on arrival and she was lovely. We'd definitely go back and love that the Red Hill mountain biking is also a 10 minute drive down the road."
"Love this place. I've been twice when it wasn't busy so was peaceful. I imagine it gets very chaotic when full capacity. Toilets and showers were clean and modern. Camp kitchen closed at 8pm which was too early, especially in summer and you are relying on the fridges to store food. It has a passcode so could easily be locked and opened with code like toilets."
"Awesome place to camp. Decent sized sites with an option of powered and unpowered. Clean and functional toilet blocks including a dump point in the powered section. Beautiful beaches (we walked over to the life saving patrolled beach to have fun in the surf and looked at rock pools on the beach close to where we were staying in the powered area). We also loved the local wildlife visiting our campsite. The Pt Leo General store across the road does epic milkshakes and vegie burgers. Balnarring IGA was great for bits and pieces we needed. So much to do in close proximity. We caught a ferry from Stony point to Cowes via French Island on one day. Just awesome!! Definitely recommend it."
