"We held a family wedding anniversary dinner here, 19 guests including 4 little children. We had a private room with river views and a cosy log fire. The grazing menu was absolutely delicious, the children’s meals were beautifully cooked and enjoyed. The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating - we couldn’t have had a better night, all left very happy and impressed."

"My experience at Alpine Hotel exceeded my expectations! The hotel itself is located right on the Yarra river, creating beautiful views from the large window in the dining room, and outdoor seating. The environment is inviting and warm, with several fireplaces to sit with a cup of tea, or wine (we did both!). There are some very cool spots inside- one being the courtyard that makes me want to hold an event with my friends just to use the space! One thing that stood out to me was the mood when I stepped in- the decor, the lighting, the music, and the vibe. The staff are accommodating, friendly, and greet you with a smile. The food was delicious, along with the house made cocktails! The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection, and the mushroom gnocchi melted in your mouth. We stayed overnight and I must say the upstairs hotel is beautiful!! The rooms are styled with new furnishings but have kept the vintage look (love it!). The beds are comfortable, the sheets are divine, there is heating and cooling in the rooms, and the shower is HOT! In the night you can hear the trickling of the river outside. We had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay and we didn't want to leave. In the morning we met the owner who was lovely and directed us to some good walking tracks in the area, and some fresh coffee and breakfast burgers in their cafe shack out the back of the hotel! A must stay when visiting Warburton! It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle with my friend. We will definitely be back!"

"Waited more than a hour for our meals. One of our meals had to replaced with a cheaper option because they ran out and then copped an attitude about refunding the difference. The fettuccine served at our table wasn't cooked properly and the mushrooms looked like they were out of a can. I would recommend buying fish and chips up the road than eating here, at least they know how to cook."

"Came for some simple dinner. The snack came quite quickly. I hope we didn't have to wait for 40 minutes for a simple dish. I think they missed that one and started cooking it after I asked about it at the 30 minute mark. Good place for food or snacks regardless. Pretty delicious fish when I finally got it, not sure if it was because I was quite hungry."
