"Wonderful place for a weekend getaway in the Yarra Valley. We did the dinner + breakfast with stay package with a group a friends and all had a great time. The staff was super friendly and took the time to make sure we were really taken care of. Good food great times!"
"Not sure how they got 5 star status but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Pros: very good location, 24/7 front desk, charactered manor. Bed soft and comfy, overall clean. Breakfast was decent and efficient. Lots of parking. Generally quiet. The meow meows was a cute addition. Cons: smallest TV I've ever seen in my entire life and channel 7 was not reachable not to mention a lack of cable or streaming service alternative, aircon screeching below 20 degrees (maintenance issue), fridge does a violent rumble every half hour. Both noises are unacceptable. Toilet seat broken, shower water control terrible, the tap is literally turning hotter while you shower. Plug location for hot water flask is unacceptable. Check in issues, toiletries very bare minimum and the bath gel was half empty. (you should see how crown metropol does their 5 star thing.) Overall it's somewhere between a 3.5-4 star standard. When you claim 5 star status details matter plus there should be a wow factor. Neither was met. I'd unlikely stay here again and balgownie would be my next choice."
"Visited this restaurant with my guests for a lunch sitting. Booked in advance via their website, got a request to confirm our booking 24 hours in advance, sent that off and got a confirmation reply immediately. Plenty of on-site parking, a short walk from the restaurant. The meals were tasty, sufficient portions, served well, presented elegantly. Our server was absolutely fantastic, knew the menu like the back of her hand. The photos here do not do the food justice at all. The view from the restaurant (and we got a window seat too) was worth it, looking out to the Valley. Definitely worth a visit here if you haven’t yet been."
"Did not stay at the hotel so can't comment, had high tea. Very disappointing. Stone cold scones, luke warm arancini balls, average sweets (except one which was nice), basic sandwiches with little taste, service was minimal and diy tea and peculated coffee. No fancy crockery here. Suspect everything is not made on site or scones made the day before. Basic jam, not enough relish to go around. Basic mince pie, light on savoury choice. Nothing high or fancy about the fare. Expensive and won't be returning. Typical tourism Australia - great location and that is about it."
"Don’t stay when the restaurant ( Elenor’s) is closed … there’s no staff no service no bar no music on anywhere and no point even being here. It’s like the place is closed which basically it is but if you book they’ll take your money. Anne that checked us in was wonderful and so attentive. Rooms are quaint. Very clean."
