At Gidget Foundation Australia, we understand the challenges that come with the parenthood journey, and we are here to provide the necessary resources and assistance. Our mission is to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents. We offer a range of services, including the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Training and Development Institute, which provides training and development opportunities in this specialized field. We also provide support and resources specifically tailored for dads and non-birthing partners.

One of our key services is the provision of free individual psychological counseling. We offer face-to-face sessions as well as telehealth options, ensuring accessibility for all parents. Our experienced counselors are dedicated to helping new parents recognize and address symptoms associated with Perinatal Depression and Anxiety (PNDA).

We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of parents who have bravely shared their stories to support us and others. In recognition of their commitment and bravery, we call them our Gidget Angels. Gidget was the nickname of a vibrant young mother who tragically took her own life while experiencing unrecognised postnatal depression. In her honor, her family and friends created Gidget Foundation Australia, which evokes Gidget's warmth and lively spirit.

Our foundation exists to ensure that expectant and new parents receive timely, appropriate, and specialist care for their emotional wellbeing. We believe that emotional health is just as important as physical health during this transformative period.
