Australia's Youth Self Defence Karate was founded in 1994 by Matt Klein, a 6th Dan Black Belt known as "Sensei Matt" to his students. Recognizing the demand for fun and affordable karate classes for kids in Sydney, Australia, Sensei Matt created our institution with the goal of building self-esteem, confidence, and fitness through martial arts.

Our main focus is on building the self-esteem and self-confidence of children and teens. We specialize in teaching kids and provide a positive, non-intimidating, and fun atmosphere in all our self-defence classes. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the classes – we have no secrets.

Our convenient kids karate classes in Sydney are taught throughout the year in alignment with the school terms. At the end of each term, we hold a grading to celebrate the students' accomplishments and help them set achievable goals for the next term.
