Located on a quiet suburban street at Mungarra Avenue, 12, our kindergarten has been operating since 2012, providing exceptional care and quality education to children in a small 25 place service.

Nutrition is a crucial aspect of our program, and our catering company works closely with nutritionists and dieticians to ensure the highest nutritional standards. Our menu follows the Australian Dietary Guidelines, incorporating food from all five food groups. We also promote healthy eating and physical activity, limiting small screen recreation to support the prevention of childhood overweight and obesity.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we use earth-friendly and organic chemicals, as well as recycled/biodegradable paper towels and cloths. We raise environmental awareness through various means, including group discussions, classroom activities, gardening, and utilizing a composting system. Our educators and children learn about caring for the environment and respecting the natural world by growing their own vegetables and herbs in our veggie pod.

Inclusion is a core value at Mungarra Kindergarten, and our Inclusion Support Officer works closely with our center manager and KU inclusion support officer to ensure that all children are engaged and participating to their maximum potential. We also aim to embed the Aboriginal perspective into our weekly routine, ensuring that children learn about our nation's first people.
