About St Ives Public School
Welcome to St Ives Public School, located at 70 Horace Street in the beautiful suburb of Saint Ives, Australia. Our institution is a point of interest and an establishment that is proud to be a primary school, providing quality education to our students.
At St Ives Public School, we believe in empowering kids with friendship skills. That's why we have partnered with URSTRONG, an organization that specializes in teaching children concepts, skills, and language to help them build and maintain healthy friendships. Through their proven, skills-based strategy, we aim to equip our students with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of relationships and foster positive connections with their peers.
As a parent or caregiver, we understand the importance of finding engaging and educational activities to enjoy with your kids. Whether you're an airport enthusiast or simply looking for a fun experience, St Ives Public School offers a range of opportunities for families to come together and learn. We believe that education extends beyond the classroom, and we strive to create a supportive environment where families can actively participate in their child's learning journey.
Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education, and at St Ives Public School, we take pride in recognizing the achievements of our schools, teachers, and students. It's a time for us to showcase the incredible work that takes place within our institution and to highlight the dedication and passion of our educators.
We value the input of parents and carers in shaping our educational programs, and the Department of Education has shared a draft plan for NSW public education. This plan invites parents and carers to provide their valuable feedback, ensuring that our institution continues to meet the needs of our students and community.
As an institution, we also want to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. We recognize and honor the wisdom, culture, and traditions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both past and present.

Reviews of St Ives Public School
"The school needs to work on the facilities"
"Good school, went here since kindy to year 4, but I highly suggest switching to st Ives north."
"teachers are rude and hate students they make students write good google maps reviews but they don't teach us any thing"
"It has a nice mix of children from all walks of life and from almost all over the world. There are mums at this school that are very 'clicky'. It's as though one is back at high school. Not a great e.g. to kids either ways to be non-inclusive. Also note, if your child is bright, don't rely on the school to do much about it. Enrichment classes are inconsistent and some teachers there prefer not to update parents on their kids progress or otherwise. Its really a case of leave the kids to their own 'devices' type attitude. They never took the time to group the bright kids together to work on a projs to challenge them on a day to day basis with analytical and critical type thinking . Or ideally work with parents if a kid is struggling, making the parents aware! They simply rather not 'work' with parents. The Gifted coordinator seemed to hv a biased approach, with favouritism as clear as day, and used a 1 size fits all for the gifted kids. A shame really, as no 2 kids are ever the same! That teacher could not see past her own opinions. Have not heard positive things about the principal either, all sorts of bullying issues that were poorly managed, if at all managed and find her rigid in her thinking and approach. This school simply looses their brightest. It has been nothing but an uphill battle. There is so much more they cld hv done with better planning!"
"has the most wonderful principal, admin and teachers. my child loves it here. everyone extremely helpful and professional. very quick in answering and resolving any situation. highly recommend this high school to anyone."
