Lowanna Park 3 Wilfred Avenue, Chatswood, New South Wales 2067
About the Business
Welcome to Lowanna Park, a stunning establishment located at 3 Wilfred Avenue in Chatswood, Australia. Named after the aboriginal word for "beauty," this park is a true testament to the natural wonders of the area.
Originally acquired in 1942 from the Estate of Joseph Charles Tricker, a renowned builder, Lowanna Park is steeped in history. Tricker himself resided in the adjacent house, known as "Goulburn Grange," which was constructed in 1907. This rich heritage adds an extra layer of charm to the park's ambiance.
One of the standout features of Lowanna Park is its remarkable vegetation. The park boasts an array of native ridge-top trees, including Blackbutt and Turpentine, which provide ample shade for visitors. This lush greenery creates a serene and tranquil environment, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful picnic.
Speaking of picnics, Lowanna Park offers fantastic amenities for outdoor dining. With three covered picnic tables and a double plated BBQ, you can enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the beauty of nature. Families will also delight in the fenced playground, which features swings, a sandpit, a trike track, and a raised cubby with a slide. Children can let their imaginations run wild while parents relax nearby.
Please note that the park strictly prohibits the use of children's play areas and barbecue areas. This policy ensures the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
At Lowanna Park, we also take great pride in acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Gamaragal people. We pay our utmost respect to their Elders, both past and present.
So whether you're a local looking for a peaceful retreat or a tourist seeking a unique Australian experience, Lowanna Park is a must-visit destination. Plan your trip today and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of this remarkable establishment.

Reviews
"Parked here to get 1A bus to Sydney Olympic Park to watch women's world cup final."
"Medium-sized park with a playground for kids and an adjoining off-leash dog area. Pleasant trees and play equipment, but it’s right on the main road with non-stop cars going past so not all that relaxing. No shops nearby so bring your own food and drink."
"Medium playground with alot of open space. There are BBQ pits, toilets and lots of picnic tables."
"Excellent juxtaposition of a dog park next to a children's playground. Fun & varied play equipment for kids, expansive area for dogs, with picnic tables & toilets. Ground cover is mostly native litter so worth considering footwear."
"Great meeting place for parents of young children. Swings and play equipment with picnic tables and barbecue. This is an average sized park with a clean toilet and lots of shade. The play area is fenced off from another big area that is a dog walking section at certain times of day. There is a dog drinking bowl and tap. This is a very pretty recreational park on a main road without a playing field. The fenced separation is very practical and safe, but at times can feel a bit 'caged'."
