"I had Mike come out because I run airbnb and a guest had put a hole in a bedroom door. The first problem was that he had initially told me he would be able to come out sooner than he did, which costs me money having an airbnb that is closed. After he did arrive, he said the frame of the door would need replaced as well because i was abnormal and wouldn't fit a standard door so I agreed to this. The invoice says new door and frame, trim, paint, shims, caulking. Basically a finished and ready to go product. When he finished on the 1st visit, he installed the door and the frame but but didn't paint the frame and there were visible screws as well as visible gapping where there was no caulk. The door also wasn't latching. So I had him come back out a few days later and he fixed that. But he never did the trim which was part of the invoice. I paid him in full after the 2nd visit but did make it known that I wanted the trim done. He told me to reach out after the holiday and we would get something scheduled. Now 2 days in a row I have texted him and he isn't responding. This goes to show that you shouldn't pay someone until the job is 100% done because once you pay someone, people take the money and move on to the next job."
