"This is a good place for a decent rental price and had no mechanical issues, but the car reeked of marijuana. The “manager guy” was a total arrogant disrespectful person who dismissed my questions as to why I was being charged for additional gas charges. Refused to look at my receipt that we had topped off the gas tank right before returning the car and that we actually had the tank a little fuller than when we picked it up. He said there is a gas sensor that they check electronically instead of looking at the gauge. Really??? Thank goodness customer service was very professional and helpful and refunded the charge. If you need a rental car, Avis is great but don’t go to the south county location. No professionalism at all and really nasty attitude."

"We picked up a car rental this morning that was less than 1/2 a tank full, was filthy inside and out, mud on the backseat, and was permeated with the oder of Marijuana so bad that we had to let the car sit and run with the air on full blast with the doors open for about 10 minutes before even getting into it! Then when we dropped it off, they tried to charge us a $98 fuel charge for returning it with the same amount of gas."

"Horrible service, booked a 15 passenger van 2 months prior for vacation. Called the night before to confirm and they kept saying yes there’s a van here but wouldn’t confirm… Went to pick it up the next morning and the response upon arrival was “there’s a van here but we don’t know who it’s for” they were very confused on such a simple job. We walked away with no van and no one at Avis took any accountability. Almost had to cancel our family vacation… I finally called around to different rental services and got one myself the next day…worst experience with any business I’ve ever had. Then I get home from vacation and check my emails to find they sent me a $50 cancellation bill…Avis off Lindbergh makes me sick to my stomach…"
